Hey guys,
I just recently got my new system parts in the mail, and after having both a faulty MB and memory, I was finally able to post (whew). Unfortunately, my idle and load temps are insanely hot, and I have no clue why. I have installed the zalman 2 times already (with AS5), and moved my cables around a bit; but my idle temps are between 45-50 (They actually went up the second time, WTF?) and I don't even want to post my load temps. My mobo NB and SB's are also cooking up a storm (from what I've heard this board runs hot, but not that hot).
Why is this?
Have I been using too much AS5/not properly installing?
Is my airflow sucky?
I had no problem cooling my x2 4400 which was idling at 35-38c and load around 47-50 with the same case + zalman. I can get some pictures of my setup if you'd like.
I'd really like to get this thing working again,
Thanks so much,
Frosty
