CBS boots Simms to hire Romo as his replacement.

I think you meant 4th rounder.Cowboys fan here. Sad to see that his career ended due to injuries and a freak situation where a 4th string back up QB became the #1 QB of the team. But happy to see him find an awesome fit for the next stage in his career.
Overall happy/excited for him. Would have been weird to see him play for another team (I suppose he still could technically) and I'm a huge fan of Dak as well, so all good things for the Cowboys.
I think you meant 4th rounder.
I think Romo will be a good analyst though. He has a good personality and obviously knows a shitload about football. He seems like a very likable guy overall.
Smart move to hang it up though. His body can't hang with the NFL anymore it's pretty obvious at this point.
You're the Cowboys fan, why are you asking us? 😛Wasn't he like the 3rd backup QB or something? After Romo was hurt, didn't the cowboys go through 2 other QBs before Dak?
I wish I could find that video of him trying to scramble from around the 5 yard line and getting tackled on the 1...
I was always sad to see his team fall apart in the playoffs. I never was a big Dallas fan, but still liked to watch him play because he always had multiple talented receivers that fought for the ball. I really like Romo...It'll be neat to see how he handles broadcasting, but I will miss Phil Simms on CBS. Hopefully someone else picks him up.
Yup....that's it. The angle from the end zone was the best on the replay. I felt so bad for him because against some defenses, he would have walked right in.
Simms never bothered me at all. Joe Buck is my biggest dislike among announcers. I've turned off games that I wanted to watch where he's announcing. And Al Michaels, who should have been forced to retire at least five or ten years ago. Painful to listen to these days.
Two guys I wish I could hear more of are Mike Mayock and Brian Billick.
People hate on Buck/Aikman and it's unjustified.
Al Michaels is one of the best in teh business STILL to this day.
