Covid awareness is out of style but covid is still HUGE, they just don't want you to realize it!

Threads at various covid subreddits make this clear.

Here's a sample:

I tested positive for first time 11 days ago got on Paxlovid immediately. I'm worried for a rebound (something's going on now) and wondering if I should indeed give up exercise for a couple months to improve my chances of not getting long covid.

This ~10 minute video made by covid sufferer and posted in one of these threads is amazing and sobering:

It's being minimized because for the large majority of people it doesn't matter much. Behaviors have changed (slightly) since 2020 but people are going to live their lives as they see fit. I've had COVID once or twice more since 2020 and haven't treated it as anything more than a cold and have suffered no long term effect. My wife has had it once or twice with no issues, my kids (4 & 2 now) have probably had it once and no issues. It's been minimized because it should be. Immunocompromised individuals at are more risk but they are also at high risks of every other severe virus (flu, etc).

This country can't be great again for anything with all these dummies running around.

CVS called me -- an AI robot voice like the Google Maps girl -- to tell me I should schedule a flu shot. I drove down there and asked about the COVID booster. They say "probably middle of next month". So a dual-vaccination is on my calendar.

Many must die . . . . so that I . . . . can live . . .
