Relatives are more likely to be attracted to each other if they don't know they are related. At least that's what some studies say.

Genetically related individuals who are not raised together often fail to be sexually and romantically blind to each other. That is, when a pair of biologically related individuals meet for the first time in adulthood, they often find each other very attractive. Genes ensure that the two have a lot in common, and the absence of the Westermarck effect sometimes makes them difficult for one another to resist. This is a converse theory known as genetic sexual attraction (GSA).

The awkward moment when you realize you just had an electronic interaction with a juvenile in which you discussed his genitals.
Not that much different from playing video games and someone screaming "THATS GAY!"
They never discussed that in the episodes. Every episode only pointed to Jon Snow being a bastard of Eddard Stark.
I vaguely remember an argument that happened. Forgot who was involved.
Probably because not many people in NC have TV, let alone electricity to run it. :)
They aren't really smart either.

I thought it was said that first cousins only have a .1% higher rate of having something wrong with the child. Maybe it was 1%. But regardless, Amish, and Mennonite do it all the time. Or at least did.

Genetically nothing's going to go wrong. It's more of a cultural thing, so if nobody knows know then it doesn't really matter.

I have a bigger problem with them not telling the son about his biological father. He has a right to know that and that should have been done years ago.

Back in the day we had a user named Luvya who hit on his cousin, and if I remember correctly she freaked out on him. I think the mods deleted the thread, though.

Was he the one that asked the girl if he could hold her hand or something like that? I can't remember the exact details, but it was hilariously akward.

Good advice.

Terrible advice.

They deserve to know. People deserve to be able to make their own decision. YOU nor anyone else should be allowed to make it for them. We all deserve all the facts when it comes to our own lives. What we do with those facts is up to us. Women are such deceptive busybodies it's makes me angry. For some reason they always think they get to hide everything and lie about everything for other people. Which basically comes down to keeping their mistakes hidden.

This may sound kind of fucked up but my brother just let me know that my wife is our 4th or 5th cousin...

Our kids will probably only have like one extra toe or something that distant, but it still kinda weirds me out. We had no idea and we dated for about 4 years and just celebrated our 1 year anniversary before he figured it out on some family tree website.

I'm terrible at the cousin crap, but we have the same great great great great great grandparents.

This should go down in forum history....

That is using the term "cousin" very freely. Quite a bit different than first cousins.

meh here not much people watch GoT, so many are too pleb to watch serials in original language.

Anyway maybe they should know, or they could find out when they have a deformed kid. I don't really know though.
