I can't imagine you do - I'm sure what you have is a certified copy. The state has to retain the original or they could not legally generate certified copies of it. Obama has long since provided a certified copy of his birth certificate, and the State of Hawaii has confirmed that the original is in secure storage and the copy produced by Obama is authentic.

i can't produce mine, clearly i'm ineligible for president.

I watched my birth certificate and home float away in a flood in 1978 (yes, my double wide home was literally lifted off the foundation and washed over 1/4 mile away). I'm clearly not eligible either.

US Govt doesn't agree with you bird. To quote wikipedia, "nationality derives from either place of birth (i.e. jus soli), parentage (i.e. jus sanguinis) or ethnicity and religion (as in Israel). "

The US actually adopts the first two, while iirc some/most other countries rely on either soli or sanguinis.

He doesn't have it.

then you go to the county registar and buy a new one, it's not that complicated. I had to do it once back in 2001 so I could leave the country. I'm pretty sure I had a replacement that same day. Cost 12 bucks.

I hate when people make shit more difficult than it needs to be. I mean, I guess I understand the "this is beneath me" attitude Obama is taking about it, but it seems sort of counter productive.

I don't understand what the big deal is.
