Coupling not being aired? WTF!

A special announcement came on TV and said that Coupling would not be shown on NBC, and they cut to some random friends rerun. Anyone else getting this? :|

It's on right now... I'm watching it too. Not bad but still not as good as the original.

Just found the real UK ver of coupling coming up on BBC America at 10 EST.

That is weird. 9:30 on NBC or whatever then I watched the UK ver at 10 on BBC A. Same dialogue? Same script. Different scenes but same thing? Still better as the UK ver.
 
Yeah, NBC announced that some affiliates in prude parts of the country won't be airing it because it's too racy. One more reason that I'm glad I moved West, and out of the Midwest.
 
hahahahahaha, cities won't air it? that's great. I saw it, the women are pretty hot. I love the blonde that was in "Mind of the Married Man"...although she just isn't the same w/o the accent. We'll see how the show goes, but yeah, it just can't be as good as the original.
 
ouch, your local station is rather conservative then.

not that it matters, the original is far superior. apparently they've cut out stuff in this near exact copy to fit more commercials, and well, the brit humor doesn't fit with these american actors.

go to netflix and rent the brit dvds. much better then semi sanitized, cut up, poorly acted copy.
 
ok, finished watching the us eps. they cut out the entire hung like a donkey bit? good lord. 😛

they cut out other bits like the liberal/conservative bit, which i guess would have to be tweaked quite a bit.

neither steve or jeff hold a candle to their uk counter parts. the half asian chick jane is hot though.

gah... rent original.

well, comparison with friends only works at a very general level🙂

its more like a cross between sex and the city, friends and seinfeld.

its funny sh*t 🙂 dvd of season 1 -2 are out. netflix em or buy.
