I wish people here stop bringing their irrelevant personal feelings towards cops ("I got a ticket last week") or people using cellphones in theatres ("I hate those people that don't switch them off") as an excuse for their views. This is about a cop using pepper spray not because they used a cellphone, or because he's a bad cop that like to harras people with traffic tickets, this is about a couple of houligans which behaved violently when told to stop using a cellphone and leave the theater (unless you believe their version of the story which seems far fetched).

If you believe a cop's story over an alleged criminal's story, you're a fool. Policemen make their living by contriving police reports.

Nice to see the trolls are out this evening.

Think about what you just said for a moment: Police make up police reports in order to make criminals out of people who are not.

1) Do you realize how much paperwork is involved in that process, and how much police hate the paper work involved with the job?
2) Do you realize how difficult it would be to keep all these supposed "lies" correct on a day to day basis, or in court with even a Public Defender should it ever go to court?
3) Why would you ever believe a criminal's story or an officers? What does the officer have to gain by lying about it?

...as opposed to your average member of society, who is 100% honest (especially when in trouble!)?

The cop did the right thing. Besides, would you rather be pepper sprayed... or beat down with a nightstick?

A friend of mine is a cop, and he had to use pepper spray on someone that had a knife. Afterwards, when he was handcuffing them, the individual asked him why he couldn't have just beat him with his baton instead. 😀

He should have. After cuffing him, I mean.

All she got was peppersprayed? She got off easy. Should have crushed her phone and banned her from ever going into that theater again. All movie places tell you to shut off your damn cell phones these days. If you can't read and follow simple instructions, you deserve what you get.
