I just acquired a Mac Pro (Mid 2010), 2 x 3.46 GHz 6-Core Xeons, 32 GB 1333 MHz RAM, 250 GB SSD, 1 TB HD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6144 MB.

I did a full format and reinstall of the OS on the SSD and am currently running High Sierra (10.13.6) (though I initially tried using a dosdude1 patched version of Catalina (10.15.4), with the same crappy result, so I reformatted again to install a fresh and clean copy of High Sierra).

The first (only) thing I installed after the OS was Steam and Counter Strike:GO. However, when I try to run CS:GO, I get the following message:

"Error. This game requires OS X version 10.6.7 or higher."
(It looks just like this.)

I Googled that error and found very few results, and none with an answer.

I am not sure if it is related, but I seem to be getting a lot of flicker in the Steam window, too.

I reached out to the person I got it from and she said she did not have any problems with it before I got it.

Any ideas? Thanks.

CS:GO is written like redacted for Mac.

I don’t really know how it runs well for your friend. Newer ones can handle it better with brute force, but they still suffer from strange redacted happening
