I believe just about everyone can and will kill others in the right situation except if you are that pussy from Saving Private Ryan. No one knows what they are capable of until the right time comes.

Hey,
even he shot a guy in cold blood at the end.

As for the OP, it would have to be a VERY severe event to myself or someone I loved, and I would have to deem the threat to be continuous. If someone's in jail for life or otherwise not a threat, I'd let them rot. A drunk driver I'd probably let go with whatever punishment the court laid on him/her.

But say I had a daughter, she was forcefully raped, and the rapist got off on some bullshit technicality and was all snooty, like he was just gearing up for his next victim. I don't know what I'd do in that situation, but it would have to be something that severe or worse for me to even think about it.

And if I did it I wouldn't be making a martyr of myself. I would go batman on their ass. I'd map out my victim's life, find out when they're most vulnerable. Every item to be used in the operation would be bought with cash in different states, stored off my property, accessed off my property, used once and only once, and then, whether the attempt succeeded or failed (in the event of failure buy totally new equipment), would be totally destroyed and the remains dispersed across multiple states when the operation was complete (one of the few times I might make use of a gun buy-back where they melt down the guns).

It might take a year or two to put together, but it would be cold, professional, I'd have put the Navy SEALs to shame when it was done and no one would be the wiser.

Personally, I pray for normal stuff... like winning the lottery. :p

I pray for a lot of things.

But yes, when the gun goes on I pray.

stopped reading there.

The only circumstances in which i could possibly consider killing someone is if they were a threat to my life or the life of loved ones.

Every human is capable of killing, it's what it takes to get you there that is the sum of your character.

Of course. This question reminds me of Rambo 4 when that anti violence guy ended up killing by bashing that general in the head with a rock, the look on his face told it all. I think anyone would in the right situation.

And it's what it would take that could make others think more or less of you depending on the situation. Like if you hesitated too long and someone else died as a result, that might not be considered good thing about your character.

I neither know nor care, since your opinions is both baseless and meaningless. But thanks anyway.

It is definitely not baseless. Read the bolded part of my post where I quoted you. It is right there in black and white.

You=Crazy

The fact that you cannot see it does not surprise me at all.
