Since me being healthy has all of a sudden become the topic:

I'm 24, 5'8" and about 185lbs.

I typically eat something around the lines of what I posted above, however we all eat junk food and have soda from time to time.

Typical day is sitting at my desk all day, doing an hour long workout afterwards (Insanity has been my choice recently), then bumming out at home afterwards.

You can't catch a break around here. You hear shit if you're a fatty, and you hear it if you're thin :^D

I think ATOT is just confused because I'm an American who doesn't live off of McDonalds and weighs 300 pounds; they're just not used to their usual stereotype of us being wrong.

Something doesn't sound right at ALL. Food stamps, EBT, WIC are normally in the many hundreds of dollars a month range.

back when my first child was months old, i lost my job. got food stamps, single income family of 3 and it totaled 14 bucks a month. we also got the wic for the baby formula and stuff, but that was limited at the time to what we could actually buy. cereal, formula, milk and cheese pretty much. i still have that 14 bucks worth of stamps, i had a job two weeks later. how did they actually think 14 dollars would make much difference when youre feeding 3 people?

btw, i dont recall ever paying more than 2 bucks for a gal of milk unless i was lazy and hitting a convenience store. my usual is hitting sales for 1.69 to 1.85 for a gallon. and my 3 teenage kids go through a ton of milk. and other food. and clothes. and makeup. and hair products. id consider myself lucky if i could get my expenses like that under 600 a month usually (clothes/ shoes not included).

Milk's gotten expensive in MD. I didn't pay attention to the prices for awhile, and I suddenly noticed it was close to $4 a gallon :^O I'm not sure what happened, but it made a quantum jump at some point. Aldi sells it for ~$2.90 per gallon, but they're a major exception as near as I can tell. All the other stores are close to each other, even WalMart.

People seriously buy milk by the gallon? First of all, stop using the gallon as a unit of measure. Secondly, a gallon is a fuckton of milk. Consider drinking less of it.

Probably, i would just have to cut out my soda intake...... but remember that that $30 is supplemental to the shelters' food, or other income, so it's not JUST 30 / week....

You really were raised by 'roos. I used to drink a gallon of milk a day.

If your mother only breastfed you....

I sometimes drink a gallon every 2 days, when not at university, though it's 1%.
I really should switch to skim but I don't like how that tastes.

say it all the time... $10 bags of frozen meatballs that could last you quite a few weeks. And bread is cheap.

yes i'd die of boredom from this life.

first off, fuck you. make rules for yourself, not others. second, 5 people can go through a gallon in a week easily just using it for cereal. third, we shop for the week, not for the day like you sheep fuckers. have a nice day.

I just cashed out in Albany airport. $35.98 ($10 tip is included in that)...I think my lunch was about $8 with nachos and the ham sandwich special (very good BTW for such a crappy city).

My lunch was about $1.20, including the energy it took to heat it up. A can of tomatoes, okra, and corn, and 1/2cup(dry) rice, topped with hot sauce.

for $4 dollars, my roommates and i can eat awesome japanese noodles with pork, fish cake and awesome miso with tofu every night. that's a little more than a dollar a person. if you want to eat cheap you can. you can make like a weeks worth of fried rice w/ chicken and egg for less than 10 dollars ffs.

Smart people on food stamps do fine if they shop smart at Aldi's or some other discount grocery chain.

Stupid people blow it all on shit and then don't have staples.

Nah, they don't intentionally blow it all. They trade me for cash. 1$ stamp for my $0.50
