I live in Iowa.

Price of food is obviously different in different states, so it would not surprise me that many here could not afford that on less than $30. But, at the same time, your average salary is most likely higher.

I don't calorie count; I just eat healthy and until I feel satisfied.

ok that makes sense your in the heart of farm country. Take your prices and multiple 2x-3x and that is realistically what they charge around here. Average Salary for my job is probably higher here though I wouldn't say its 2x-3x higher. (not even clsoe)....my state sucks fuck CT.

True, food prices in the mid-west are dirt cheap. I got price shock when I was living in South Carolina, and again in Maryland. $4 for a gallon of milk, $5 for a Tombstone frozen pizza. I pay half that at Meijer.

You're a moron:

1 carton of grade A large eggs: $1.40
Eat 2 eggs for breakfast at 8am

1 pound of Red seedless grapes: 99cents
Eat a small handful every day at 10am

Frozen bags of chicken breast, just iced and nothing else: $6x2
For lunch, eat with part of a bag of Dole Salad mix, 99cents

1 pound bag of baby carrots: $2 if not on sale
Eat small handful at 2 or 3pm

For dinner, eat chicken with part of a bag of vegetables, say I mix them up and get corn, beans, and peas, so 97cents x 3

Man, look at that. A full week of healthy meals. That total comes to..what...

Plenty of room to buy some milk, maybe some peaches at $1.50/lb, some fresh deli lunch meat at $2/lb, etc...

How much of that is processed? Maybe 5% because it's packaged.

So screw you from someone who's not retarded and just knows how to shop.

2 eggs for breakfast?

Also how much chickens is a 'bag'?

I am not doubting you, but I think your portions are more designed for someone about 100lbs or so than the average adult.

For most eating meat, $30 is going to be hard.

Meh, chicken thighs are incredibly cheap. Cooking a whole chicken will get you meat for 4 days and a great soup from the bones.

That is a starvation diet. Holy crap. Unless you weigh about 120 pounds, that would NOT be a viable food budget.

2 Eggs for breakfast? Thats 140 calories. Add the grapes? MAYBE a 100 calories. I cannot last 4 hours on 240 calories. For lunch, average chicken breast is what, 200 calories at most? Salad is another 150 calories assuming no dressing, We're up to 540.

Baby carrots, lets be generous and say 150 calories, We're up to 690

Finally dinner generous and lets say 700 calories considering there is nohting in there.

1390 calories. My BMR is 2200 pounds, and that's not in including the exercise I do.

That is an unlivable diet. Even at +- 200 calories. I say bare minimum for me is 1800 daly.

Why not? Because society and those boxes and the scientists who know how I feel say so?

That's what I've eaten before - eggs in the morning, grapes around 10, A Chicken Caesar Salad at lunch (sorry, forgot to mention the dressing), carrots around 2 or 3, and Chicken Breast again with veggies at night. And guess what? I feel full and satisfied.

Switch to eating 5 times a day; you'll be amazed how much less you can eat in a meal.

PS - 185lbs

Yeah, 2 eggs for breakfast. I don't need a 5 course breakfast to get me through until my snack at 10.

They're chicken breast only, and it's about 5 pounds. I'll have to ask the wife.

I ran the figures you stated its definitely at most(using extra large eggs and butter to fry them) 1400 calories a day. Not normal for an active adult. Not saying that your doing it wrong just that wouldn't support most humans in anyway that they wouldn't be hungry all day long, fatigued etc.

To each their own I guess. I sit at a damn desk all day, so I don't need 2000 calories unless I want to feel like a bloated POS.

If you really are 185lbs and eating only around 2000 calories a day you are heading for issues unless you are in a bubble and never moving.

I usually eat about 5-6 times a day though myself...when I am lifting I have too.

It doesn't change your caloric need though, it keeps blood sugar more in check, makes you feel more satisfied if you are a foodie, and in my case when I am lifting...eating fucking sucks all the time, but I need X amount of calories.

24. I sit all day until I get off work. I then do an hour long intense cardio workout and go home.

The workout is only because I'm trying to work off weight; how I eat isn't because of a diet.

At 185 pounds, 1400 calories is still beneath what most healthy adults BMR is.

Using a BMR calculator, I can get a 1640 calories burned assuming you're 50, 5 feet high, 185 pounds, and all you did was sleep in bed all day.

If you're taller than 5 feet, the BMR goes up
If you're younger than 50, the BMR goes up
If you're not sleeping in bed all day, the BMR goes up.

I don't see how this is metabolically possible.

enough meat for four days? Do you only eat meat with one meal per day? How big are your chickens?

Probably explains why he is doing cardio and still not losing wait. He has starved himself for so long his body stores everything it can spare as fat.

Except I am losing weight.

However, my body does store just about everything it can because of my 10 or so years of running track. Back then I ate the track diet :)

You can't catch a break around here. You hear shit if you're a fatty, and you hear it if you're thin :^D
