buy alienware...transfer all parts to a normal looking case

profit

haha yes, he first built an Alienware , and cost about 7.3k with about $1500 in rebate from Alienware.

Then he thought if I can build it, then we can get the best part out there and maybe it would be less than Alienware.

WTF? Why would a casino owner fuss over a few grands and waste hours dealing with a stranger to build a computer.

Not to mention that casino owners don't make buying decisions themselves, they ask other people internal to the organization such as an IT manager or something. Even if it's for personal reasons, they don't ask strangers they don't know to build them computers.

Wait, you're considering building a super top of the line PC for someone you don't know, and although he's paying for all the parts, he's not gonna compensate you for your labor?

You will be getting paid to do this right? Like $200 to assemble it right? Hell charge him $500 for installation.

I just talked to him again, and I charged him $500 for labor/consultanting.
And he agreed on it.

Well, we sort of talk in email for about 3 or 4 letters of long email, then asked to talk to me in person. He wants this computer at home as a TIVO or something, and he thought I was very knowledgeable about computer, so he thought he'd get me to research the product with him and select the product he wants.

yeah..buy a top of the line dell. dual core cpu, with SLI 7800 and 24inch LCD

Top of the line Dell = Intel Dual Core CPU , which is slower than AMD's 4800 Dual core, the memory that Dell used is not the top of the line, neither is thier motherboard of choice and other parts. 🙂

Charging for consulting? WTF.

Send his business my way. I'll do it for $250 labor, provided I get the funds in hand first. This isn't a gaming PC correct? So it's not like he's gonna need SLI 7800GTXs, probably just a dual core/CPU mobo ton of HD space, and mass amount of ram.

Can you build me a computer too? I'll pay $500/hour for labor. All I need is your bank account info so I can wire you the funds.

no bank account atm or anything, and i won't give him any of that.

You guys are missing the point here, no money will come out from my part
only labor and putting it together and ship it back to him at his own expense.

Now the problem is that someone mentioned that he might use a stolen account and send me the goods, then i will be SOL. But he sound like a honest person.. or im just too freakin dumb..

I meant, what is there for me to lose ?

I don't have to pay a cent, just need to build a computer.
Only thing that I am worry about is that he uses fake account to buy
parts to send it to me and then I send it to him to his Miami address,
thats all, isn't it ?
