could something like the holocaust happen again?

I want to know if something like the Holocaust happened before the Holocaust, and if people asked the same question.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised, which scares me, but history repeats itself a lot and the human race is doomed anyway. That sounds a bit emo I'd imagine, but I would say that humans are the stupidest beings on this planet. We've done a lot technologically or whatever you look at, but we can't even get along with each other.
 
There have been plenty of mass killings and continue to be plenty, but as far as the mechanization goes, I doubt it.

Yep the Nazi basically setup death factories. Required a lot of time and effect to do I just don't understand why one person a long the line just didn't say no or tried to stop it somehow. Even if it was only for a little while. It required so many people to make it work someone somewhere had to have doubts.
 
Yes, another holocaust could definitely happen. Will the world let it happen? Probably...look how they responded to the last one.

that's the subject at hand isn't it? or are we just slapping that designation on any other instance of genocide since that point forward?

i'm aware that there are and have been genocides as a result of civil wars in Africa, but i really wouldn't consider them similar in any way to the Holocaust as it were
