What makes humans unlike any other creature on earth is our capacity to edapt to the environment, and our ability to critically think. As infants , we are useless. Put a baby next to a bottle of milk, and that baby would starve to death. We are totally dependent on others. At least in the beginning of our development. But, as we grow older we will adapt to the environment and as we grow older we become more better equipped to deal with what life throws at us. An animal OTOH can only be what it was born at birth. A horse can only be a horse. A lion can only be a lion. And so on.
Would humans be able to adapt to life in the Jurassic period? Would we be able to adapt and conquer the terrain? Doubt it. Primitve weapons would hardly have any effect on a Trex. Maybe fire would be level the playing field? I doubt it. That period in time was terrifying. Most animals (land, sea and air) back then would had made us their snack. Weren't there huge meat eating plants back then?
