I'm pretty sure we could do it WITH guns, but I'm not sure we could do it WITHOUT guns and only use swords and bow and arrows and such.

What do you think?

It's inevitable that a weapon would eventually be created, or other method used. Could be as simple as poisonous bait where they die if they eat it. Humans love destroying stuff. Dinosaurs would most likely be trophy hunted like elephants.

as long as they have your storage shed with 3d printers, they can print giant harpoons to take down dinos. Easy peasy.

Of course we'd win. We would get in front of a dinosaur, strike a stance of dominance, reach down, and scratch our nuts. The dinosaur would realize that he had to scratch his nuts and go insane with frustration, running wildly until he fell off a cliff. Then we'd eat him.

Maybe. I bet dinosaurs would be terrified of fire, and we'd eventually learn to use it as a weapon.

Plus, dinosaur have all that oil inside of them, so it'd be easy to take them down with just a single flame.

What makes humans unlike any other creature on earth is our capacity to edapt to the environment, and our ability to critically think. As infants , we are useless. Put a baby next to a bottle of milk, and that baby would starve to death. We are totally dependent on others. At least in the beginning of our development. But, as we grow older we will adapt to the environment and as we grow older we become more better equipped to deal with what life throws at us. An animal OTOH can only be what it was born at birth. A horse can only be a horse. A lion can only be a lion. And so on.

Would humans be able to adapt to life in the Jurassic period? Would we be able to adapt and conquer the terrain? Doubt it. Primitve weapons would hardly have any effect on a Trex. Maybe fire would be level the playing field? I doubt it. That period in time was terrifying. Most animals (land, sea and air) back then would had made us their snack. Weren't there huge meat eating plants back then?

I actually went down the rabbit hole, and it lookes like I'm wrong. Most of science believes that humans would be able to coexist with dinosaurs.

I'd link the articles, but they are all locked away and behind a pay wall. :(

My guess is that a tribe of organized primitive human hunters with weapons would be fully capable of both RUNNING down and TAKING down pretty much any dinosaur no matter how large.

Pretty sure the end result of humans "coexisting" with dino's would ultimately be the dino's going extinct.

These are the FIRST results of a ONE SECOND Google lol.... no "Paywall" in sight.... did you even look? (Nat Geo DOES ask for an email to be fair)

How does one burn the thick scaly skin of a dinosaur? And how does one do that without getting trampled over by the dinosaur?

No problem. ;)

Honestly do you really believe that dinosaurs would stand any more chance than ANY other animal vs even amateur hunters with modern rifles?

ONE soldier with an M16 or AK47 and all you'll see of "mighty" T-Rex is a pile of shredded meat with teeth lying on the ground.

Seriously I'd be a lot more scared of a pissed off hungry tiger or large bear then I would of the larger dinosaurs.

Really the only serious worry would actually be the smaller, faster (and far harder to shoot!) rapter's just like the "clever girl" meme but even they would be wiped out in a hurry by the earth's current "apex predator". (us)

Conquer the world? Looks like the world is going to conquer humans if they don't get their act together, guns or no guns.
