I have a Thunderbird 800 system that I've been real happy with up until recently. Pretty much since summer started here my computer has been locking up (more on what I mean in a second) when I play games, but not when things like SETI run. By locking up, I mean that it either freezes (and CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work) and the game music keeps playing or that the game just quits and I get booted back to the Windows Desktop or sometimes my computer will just reboot. I have Windows 2000 SP2 with an Asus A7V mobo (tried different BIOS versions), GeForce 2 MX (tried all different drives, same problem with all of them) and VIA 4in1 4.31. My CPU is not overclocked and it is only 11 months old. The only change I made was to connect the L1 bridges with a pencil so I could overclock if I wanted to. I have a normal (AMD approved though) hs/fan combo. Any suggestions on what the problem could be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
