Nothing comes up for the part# either. I also don't see any of the coupons mentioned at any of the "usual sites". Has anyone actually seen/bought this drive today?

Thats a good deal, Give me a reason to buy this HD

I have a raid motherboard right now but, I only have one HD on it a 60gig deskstar.

Could I just hook this sucker up into the another IDE plug, and Partition it into two parts one to back up my system and the other for MP3 without making it a dual boot system?

Yes you could do that. Go get one right now! Then post us on if you could or couldn't find the deal.

Damnit, this is hella tempting, I need some bulk storage, but I need around 100 gigs. A raid card is like $40, so, it'd come out to $160 for two drives and a card. Damnit.

Arg!!!

as for the speed, why would any1 need a large drive that runs at 7200rpm, all it does is causes heat. If your gonna run windows and games, why not just use a smaller drive at 7200rpm? Most larger drives are usually used for storage anyways, MP3s, dvd rips, p0rn, etc....

larger drives are much faster and quieter too than smaller drives at the same rotational speed...

Well, its definitely not available online and there are no $20 off $100 coupons right now, neither online nor printable, so the deal just got a lot colder

theres no 20 off 100 printable then, but there are 30 off 150 printables(that i noe of). Buy some free after MIR software, TDKs CDRs, or 100 Floppies, etc... find your own deals. This is just a "heads-up"

Well, For me, the whole idea of this deal is to minimise initial investment in a hard drive before rebates. With a coupon I would only pay $79.94 upfront. If I got to rely on rebates(at least additional $50 of them), I might as well go the whole nine yards and get 80gb 7200 rpm Seagate for $89.95 after $50 rebate....You can quiet it down with Seagate's utility for those Tivo upgrades...

I only see the 30$ off 150...if you're still interested I have the e-mail here. Deal is colder without the 20$ off...I guess it's cool if you wanted whatever it is to bring it up to 150.

The sale doesn't start until tomorrow.

There are working $20 off $100 online coupons.

Unfortunately, the SKU does not show up on the .com site, so you may be SOL - unless you use the $10 off $50 instore coupon.

Both of which I cannot post here, but you may find at certain Phat deal sites for your Wallet.

How much more reason do you need then that. That IBM deathstar has loud grinding noises in it's very near future. Mirror that puppy now before the heads on the deathstar crash

Never trust Satan ;) I have only heard and experienced good things with IBM drives. I have a 22gb Deskstar and it's great and pretty quiet.

How about adding one of the following to your B&M order, and use the $30 off printable coupon?

Symantec Norton SystemWorks Standard 2002 w/$30 Upgrader Mail-in Rebate
sku 469113
OR

Symantec Norton Internet Security 2002 Std Edition w/$30 Upgrader Mail-in Rebate
sku 469109

$49.94 - $30 upgrader mail-in rebate* - $20 mail-in rebate #469113/469109

The catch is you have to own prior version and/or competitive product to get the $30 MIR.
