Sure, that would be great. Too bad that would only work in the little idealized version of the world where the only thing mattered were morals.

Gow good waiting till the last minute did in World War II. It only allowed a dictator to industrialize and mobilize its army and almost win World War II. Look at how many lives we saved by making war our absolute last course of action...
