I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the reason everyone is up in arms over this is because there are already so many dogs without a home out there that bringing another 5 mutts into the world is pretty shortminded. There are a lot purebreds in the pounds as it stands right now and a lab/doxie mix sounds like it would be a harder "sell". Who knows though, they could turn out to be a BA mutt mix.

They are only 2 days old. They aren't ready for homes yet!

And I honestly thought it would be physically impossible for the lab to knock her up. She's only a couple inches off the ground.

The vet had to remove her uterus when they did the c-section, so she is fixed now.

I'm always amazed at how much anger ATOT holds. Why are you all getting so worked up over this?

I'm not angry, but the reality is that you're not going to make back the money you laid out for the c-section. When you get a dog, spay/neuter it, and you won't be faced with this issue.

Look at these numbers: http://www.humanesocietyall.com/spayneuter/

That's pretty horrific, and unless you work to find good homes for those puppies, they will be some of the millions of dogs killed every year. It's going to be much harder to do that if you try to make back the money you had to spend because you didn't spay your dog.

You should be selective, because many people love new puppies but don't like the responsibility or expense of a full grown dog. Try not to give your puppies to these people, who will give them to pound for the death penalty.

Again, I'm not angry, I'm just giving you a dose of reality.

People are getting worked up over this due to the fact that you have proven the cliche of ignorant pet owner.

It's like the guy that says he doesn't have to worry about kittens because his cat is a male.

Spay and neutering is something every pet owner should do. All it takes is one time out to set into motion 1,000's of offspring over a few years.

Also you are now looking for a 'fair price' when finding homes should be your priority and getting them the proper care.

Based on your other posts though, it's clear you have none of your priorities straight in life.
