No they don't reach both sides. I saw a woman try and she failed. You are a retard and will die alone.

That signage is national and every costco here (as well as BJ's) have hoses that reach on both sides.

You must have not pulled it hard enough.

BTW reported that blantant name calling.

I dunno where you guys go to costco but the gas pump can serve both driver/passenger side gas doors for the ones I go to.

Irrelevant.

Oregon is on the west side. New Jersey is on the east side.

Both states legally forbid non-gas-station-employees from pumping gas. Unless you work at that specific station, it is literally illegal to pump your own gas.

You won't find any of these signs in Oregon or NJ and that covers both sides of the Miss. :p

That's completely irrelevant. The claim was "These signs exist all over west of the Mississippi". They don't. It is easy to prove they don't: go to a gas station and when they don't exist, it's proven.

What you're claiming, well, that's just out of left field and stupid.

You're a fucking idiot. Nobody said that these signs are on every single gas station.

Even if they did, who cares?

You're a sad little man. It's an online forum. Get over yourself. Let people feel big and bad even though they are online.

What I don't get is at my costco there is often a 20-40 min wait for gas. It looks like a hurricane is coming and people are parked 10 cars deep waiting in line. To save 5 cents a gallon?

In a big city, or what?

Yesterday, all the pumps at the gas station were full. I had to wait in line for 1 car to finish fueling up. This was also at about 5:13pm. :)

Some day I'll have to take a bus trip through Los Angeles just to see what real traffic looks like. I hear wonderful things about the 405. :D

The reason is that Costco hoses stretch to both sides of the car, so you get lots of people hauling the hose over the car. It will naturally position itself upside down unless you hold it properly. People do that crap all the time at Costco. That's why there's a guy walking around with a hazmat containment kit spraying down the pavement every time some old lady screws up and spills gas on the ground.

The benefit of doing it that way is they move way more cars through the station in any given amount of time.

In short, Costco doesn't think you are retarded. It KNOWS you are retarded, that's why they have the sign. :)
