No price drops yet. Looks like Monarch gave up on this product, no longer on their website.....can't say I blame them based on their outrageous asking price.

OP updated!

@BadThad, et al

Compliments of The Internet Archive here is 3 of the 4 pages from SysOpt.com when they reviewed the VS1GBKIT400. They're missing JPG's here and there unfortunately, but the gist of the review is still there w/o them.

I'm considering doing just that. As for now, I'm just keeping this thread going to provide an overview of the memory market. I think most people find it interesting and a decent indication of where ALL memory prices are in the market.

Yes, please keep this thread going. It is interesting to see the price ups and downs. Fortunately, I did my last DDR upgrade back when the price was fairly reasonable (but on the upslope). It is good to see prices headed back down.

Agreed. This is a great historical reference. Thanks.

Although, at this point you can probably just take the averages for each date and make the whole thing a lot more manageable and readable.

If only I could get my box to run on paired SD cards or thumb drives, I'd be set!!!

:)

Hope it's a cycle and it comes back around again, otherwise 1gb I have is gonna have to do.

Looks like the March dip is coming once again! If you're looking for RAM, start saving now. I have a feeling we'll see a repeat of low prices in March. :thumbsup:

...time for all my computers to have 2 gigs of ram! a little extra memory should pump some extra life into older machines.
