Same here. I bought 2 packs for a server I'm building and this kind of packaging is unacceptable. It's the first time I bought from ZZF but probably the last. I don't have time to ship RMA stuff back and forth.
I was looking for an alternative to Newegg just to have a fallback. ChiefValue wouldn't ship to an alternate shipping address ( the cc bill goes to a PO Box) which I though was funny since I've been doing 1k a month with NE and they don't have any problems at all.
Back on thread, every time I'm on ZZF now they're popping up begging me to leave a rating at resellerratings.com, etc. From the ghetto packaging job they did, I'm doing them a favor by NOT rating them!
Ya, too close for me too. Should of seen this yesterday. With second day shipping, comes to $72.21 AR for me, and have to wait over a month, for rebate. Newegg is $80 shipped, and no rebate to wait for. Best way to go, for me.
More price juggling, now Newegg is the low price leader and only 50 cents off the all time low price! OP updated.
Read the thread, this RAM runs on ANY platform. At 166 MHz fsb the, DDR runs at 333 MHz which is BELOW specs for this ram, since it runs at 200 fsb or 400 MHz DDR. No problems!
