This is like a slap in the face :|
So basically, we now have the opportunity to buy RAM we didn't want in the first place since it's overpriced
What a joke.
I suppose it's better than nothing, but is it really?
No, it's not better than nothing.
I've been reading up on this and what corsair did was not right...
They send out v1.1 sticks to reviewers who say they have micron d9's and then when they release to public most are v2.1 which are promos...
now how is this not a bait and switch?
First,
WE NEVER SENT ANY STICKS OF 6400C4D DOMINATOR TO ANY REVIEWERS!
Second,
WE NEVER MARKETED THE MEMORY AS A MICRON PRODUCT!
Accusing us of a mistake is one thing. But, I am sick of people accusing us of ethical misconduct when they don't have a clue as to what they are talking about. Please read the post, it's on atleast 8 forums now. And, if you have the memory and want to find out if the exchange is a satisfactory option, contact us.
In "SOME" cases, the people that bought the PROMOS based memory were charged to the extent that there will be NO CHARGE for the upgrade. However, the only way to know for sure is to contact us.
It is strange how many people that don't even own our memory are yelling the loudest here.
So, please, if you don't own the memory in question and/or can't be helpful here, keep the thread on topic. We are genuinely trying to the right thing here. However, some people would criticize us even if we offered tropical vacations along with the new memory.
