Welcome to AnandTech, CompuTronix!

I've been referring people from our forum to your thread at Tom's Hardware, but now we will be able to discuss your experiences first hand.

Glad to see you, and congratulations on your Temperature Guide.

Great job!

Ditto, and thank you for bringing this to the forum. Temps and monitoring have always been confusing w/ so many different options.

Talk about "bringing something to the table",,,, I vote sticky!!!

Edit 12/20/07-
If any one is interested here is a link.

I think that should become a sticky now.

As an example of "HOW NOT TO ACT AND BEHAVE".

What a shame...

He deleted this too,

For those wondering why CompuTronix deleted:
Shortly after I posted my Temperature Guide, I contacted a Moderator by Personal Message describing the Guide's history as a Sticky at Tom's, and my desire to have it hosted here at AnandTech.

As I have not received a reply, either no one in authority is aware of the Guide, or AnandTech is not interested in hosting it as a Sticky. If the latter applies, the Guide will be removed on December 12th.

This outstanding [Aus-gezeichnet!!] Guide should have been posted initially in "Cases and Cooling," but this is not a criticism of any significance whatever.

The research, organization and writing get an A++ from me.

This is thorough work.

So -- yes -- I vote "Sti-cky!!"

[and it has the Duck's Imprimatur and Nihil Obstat -- in his occasionally affirmed but questionable role as "The Pope of Ducting."]

I've got a curious situation. GA-P35-DS3R, E2140 @ 3.28Ghz, 1.4125v (BIOS).
Temps under load are 68C for BIOS-monitored CPU temp, and 63C each for the two core temps, as measured by SpeedFan 4.33 and CoreTemp 0.95.4.

CoreTemp lists my TJunction as 85C, whereas the post above seems to indicate 100C.

Which is correct? If my temps are off, then that would mean that Tcase = 68C, Tcore1/2=78C.

Why would my temps be so high, at only 1.4125v? I have a CoolerMaster HyperTX 2 cooler installed. I tried installing the stock Intel cooler (aluminum), and Tcase temps rose 10C.

That is a dumb reason to remove it. Why not leave it as it will get bumped and soon enough it would have been stickied.

So what is the link so I can look it. Oh, he deleted it! I was going to check it out, but now I can't, POOP :(
