Good point.

I don't dislike cops, but the ones I do dislike are ones like this and it skips right past dislike and gos to a deep loathing. They are in a position of power and trust, to break that trust by abusing the power is egregious.

Although everyone should really listen to the video, as well. The cop sounds insane.

The tragedy of it all is that the recording is completely believable. I hate cops.

Some guy that used to work with me has some cams and stuff in his car and had a similar experience. The cop pulled him over for speeding and the video proved that he was doing exactly the speed limit. However, the cop was talking about how that part of town was full of prostitutes and was like "You're not one of THOSE types are you? Am I going to have to arrest you for solicitation? What would your wife say? You want me to call your wife?" and all this other crazy shit. The end of the video shows the coworker reminding the cop that he's on video and his audio is being recorded and the cop's like "YEAH? WELL I GUESS I'LL SEE YOU IN COURT. YEAH BUDDY. BRING IT ON BUDDY!" and got in his car and left.

He brought the video in for us all to laugh at. I still have the mp3 of it all on this computer. It's has high levels of hilariousness. :D

Wow, makes me want to install video cameras all over my car. I hope that cop gets nailed to a wall.

While there is no question that the cop flew off the handle, he should have just shown him his ID and acted respectfully instead of questioning him like some stereotypical whiny "i know my rights" college kid.

Well you should be able to ask why you are being pulled over...

And the clicking noise is a radar detector.

cheers

Cop was very unprofessional and way out of line, probably has some problems.

On the OTHER hand, it seems like it was a set up. It was planned. Video was recording as he passed a cop and nobody was talking. He parked in a lot and STILL didn't say a word while the cop pulled up. Then he started giving him lip.

I think the clicking is a radar detector, since it says "KA band", which is one of the speed detector radar frequencies, when the cop starts pulling up.

I had a cop pick a fight with me.. when I admitted I was buzzed and I was a passenger in a car that got pulled over for speeding.. when the car was going 45mph in a 45 zone and the cop said we were going 60-62mph.

I asked for the officer's badge number... and he screamed at me to get out of the car and proceeded to pat me down about 10x harder than I've ever been patted down at the airport.. and he threw me against the car and I hit my chin on the roof. And he said, "You still want my badge number?!"

He never gave me his badge number.. nor did he give us any papers.. and he told me his name was 'Officer Murphy.' And.. when I called the police station to complain about him, they told me there as no 'Officer Murphy.'

and.. that was just ONE out of 3 different experiences I've had with an unfair out-of-control cop on a power trip..

I agreed the cop went way overboard. But it looks like the kid seems to like picking arguments with cops, it's obvious at the beginning. I wouldn't be surprised if the kid got stopped 50 times over the past week until getting stopped by this unprofessional cop.

That doesn't work. I got ticketed once in an illegal speed trap with a radar reading that was never shown to me. I followed the instructions on TicketAssassin very closely, and the cop still gave me a ticket and threatened to take me to jail BECAUSE I WAS READING THE EFFIN' TICKET to make sure everything was correct.

Contrary to popular belief, you have absolutely no right to see the radar (speaking from NH). Maybe Cali is weird.
