Just curious..
1)900mhz cpu....9.0x133mhz
2)1200mhz cpu...lowered to 9.0x133mhz..
Will the latter configuration produce less heat since the cpu can handle 1.2gig but i lowered the multiplier to 9.0

I think it would depend on the core speed and the core voltage.

The voltage would be the main factor in the heat problem... A 1.2 Tbird would or should run cooler, also I would lean to an Alpha 6035 for less mass and ease of installation...

Has anyone ever tried the Swifttech MC462 only replacing the loud 80mm Delta fan with a 80mm sunon high speed to keep the noise down? I've seen a few sites that sell the MC462 without a fan.

"I think it would depend on the core speed and the core voltage."
hmm....what is the "core speed" ???

Maybe i'm stupid or something,..but i still don't understand the answer to my question..

So..YES produce less heat,..or NO same amount of heat??
