I purchased the Coolermaster Praetorian for my new rig. Wow what a case. The fit and finish is second to none. Everything about the case works nicely. Best investment i've made.
 
I love the Praetorian too.... my only complaint about coolermaster cases is the lack of features.... everything is old fashioned.. screws for everything, and 80mm fans (suck)
 
Wish they would bring out a Praetorian 2 with 120mm fans in front and back. Even if it cost over 150$ I'd still be interested in it. The 80mm fans are the only thing holding me back purchasing the Praetorian. I don't like the flimsy door on the Antec 3000 series or even messing with a door unless the power button is outside on the case like on the Silverstone J05 series.

I have an Antec 3700AMB and I love it. Yes, the door is shitty, but I don't use the power button at all (I use "Power on by KB"). As for the quality, the 3700 is very very good. Solid interior and plain and dark exteriors. Dual 120mm fans are a big plus, and the rubber grommets in the hdd cage really make a difference. I can't hear my dual WDs hdds at all, even while seeking!

Old school all the way baby! Don't change what ain't broken. Plus some of these tooless cases get alot of complaints from people because of design flaws.

yeah tooless I COULD live without, but it's very nice having drive rails IMO 🙂

I also really feel the love for 120mm fans now, so 80mm is definitely still not cool no matter what 😛

You posted some of the reasons why I don't use cheap cases no matter WHO makes them.

As for toolless trying to cover up other flaws... Not the case with the Lian-Li cases that are not the low budget level. I like having toolless side panels as well as many other parts (like hard drives). Optical drives, as far as I've experienced, are better off being screwed in. I've used cases with the speed rails on them and it can be a pain when it comes to making them flush with the front of the case. SOME setups are better than others, but when it's bad, it's really bad. The drive mounting system on the Lian-Li cases, like mine, are semi-toolless in that you secure hardware to the drive and then lock the drives in place in the case.

Once you get a really good case (or a great one) you don't have any desire to go cheap ever again. I made the transition years ago from cheap to quality... Which is probably why I've not spent under $100 on a case in about 4 years now. The ones I keep run the $200-$300 range... The ones I don't keep run ~$100-$150...

Amen. I love solid, all screws steel cases. I even ripped out the tool-less mounts on my Centurion so I could use screws. When I mount something, I want to know damn sure that it's mounted.

I, for one, think that the 80mm fans are just fine. Plus, with the thumbscrews, I rarely need to use tools unless I'm installing/moving a drive, or replacing the motherboard.

I love my praetorian! I only wish I had bought the black model instead of the plain finish.

What is a good fan controller to use on the Praetorian? The Vantec Nexus NXP-201? not sure if the case comes with those 3 pin connectors or the 4 pin. I believe the NXP-201 controller uses the 3 pins.
