Certainly interesting and great use of resources. Most likely (and definitely in some contexts) better than nothing, but not exactly a complete replacement for a fully functional advanced ventilator.

I love the ingenuity of Americans! I love seeing the free market step up and fill in the gaps.

Northwell Health is a 501(c)(3) hospital chain and is not driven by capitalistic desires to monetize everything for individual wealth hoarding.

That said, the ability for you to misinterpret a few clever people working in a semi-socialist health system as the Holy Trinity of Capitalism™, InvisibleHand™, and FreeMarket™ as coming to save us is amusing. That blind faith in a system that requires everyone to sacrifice themselves for its furthered existence is hilarious in a tragic way.

The only thing you left out of your worship was an Amen at the end.

The fact you think capitalistic desires are "to monetize everything for individual wealth hoarding." shows just how twisted and lost you are, and how you completely missed the point.

Also. This isnt the only company doing this. Appreciate the comments though.

Amen.

You definitely don't understand what capitalism is, but that's OK, at least you added an Amen and acknowledge your wealth worship.

Thanks for the reply!

You're welcome! My goal is to give back to my community and invest in my family as much as possible without stepping on others. I mean, it's MY responsibility, and it's what our founding fathers had in mind!

I mean that’s literally the point of capitalism.

I don’t think that’s a problem as an idea because when we all try to help ourselves we can make the world as a whole better but that’s the entire fucking point.

To hoard wealth?

What's wrong with that? As long as you don't exploit people doing it, so what?
I don’t think there is anything inherently wrong with that, I said that in my previous post, but we shouldn’t deny that’s the point. It’s not twisted and wrong to acknowledge this.

Engineering is not Capitalism.
No but the ability to use engineering as one or a company sees fit is. See an opportunity, if you have the know how use it to fill a need, make a profit, win win. That's capitalism.

And its awesome.

Those changes could be made just as easily without Capitalism.

Mmkay. I still choose capitalism over whatever the fuck you think is a better alternative.

But more importantly, it's exciting we have a country with motivated people to improve the lives of others instead of looking to the government (who hasn't done shit) to fix it, don't you think?

I'd be more excited to have a competent government handling the problem since that's what they're paid/elected to do.

What would work better is if you had a Government that was capable of fixing these problems. This idea that Individuals of Wealth are heroes for occasionally doing something Charitable ignores the fact that what they do is insufficient to the Need as a whole.

Nope. The government's job isn't to fix everything.

The government’s job is most certainly to fix things like this though.

If nothing else I hope this is an object lesson to people who thought that electing incompetents into positions of power has no consequences.

You might not admit it but I bet a lot of republicans wish they had Crooked Hillary running things right now. You know she at least knew what she was doing.
