as much as I dislike ricers, making this the jdm r version of the nsx (if they do everything to make it the jdm r) is an awesome thing to do.

and yet, so far, the changes are mostly cosmetic. big ugly wing, big ugly hood scoop, red honda badge where the acura badge was, etc.

props to having this done. Alot of money for car that is dated. I would think it would be cheaper to sell the blue NSX he had and just import the NSX-R. Seeing as he hasn't touched the engine or suspension yet.

uhhh all he did is have an aluminum roof welded in and changed over fenders and painted headlights.... whats so amazing about that?

Edit: Forgot white rims and black mirros ... amazing conversion

Not so important to most but naysayers. However, this guy would have been better off importing a righthand drive version and starting there.

I think those that tool around in RHD conversions are stupid as our roads aren't set up for that, unless you want to deliver newspapers or the mail.

Meh- he's doing it b/c he loves it. I very casually know him and believe me- he has the cash to do what he wants. I have no problem with him spending his money the way he wants vs people who couldn't afford either car always choosing the "best value" supercar.

Out of sheer curiosity: what does he do for a living?

Didn't read the whole thing, just looked at the pics, does the guy plan to swap the motor and upgrade the suspension? otherwise I'm gonna slap him and take the money.

Modding an NSX is like marrying an old, ugly woman and trying to change her with plastic surgery. Pointless and expensive.

Suspension and motor are up next from the bottom of the post.

I think it's really cool for him to have done that. That takes alot of time and dedication, not to mention money. Cudos for him not settling for something close and going for exactly what he wants.

The work it took to put that roof together is impressive if it's as straight as he says

money better spent on a real supercar like an F430 rather than an appliance like the nsx.

Atleast it doesn't disintegrate on it's own like your crappy sentra.
