It wouldn't surprise me if Michael Shanks made an appearance.
I'd like to see Claudia Black. I think she would liven up the show.

Claudia was in an episode of Haven last season. I knew she looked familiar, but she was dressed so terribly and was using a fake American accent, so it took a rewatch to figure it out.

Nerd boy still doesn't really have any game, but no one needs to tell him that. For now he can assume he does.😛

The winner for the best fight tonite goes to Caprica girl. That was great!
Indeed. I mean we've known she's some kind of mole, but apparently a very well trained one.😱

Her name is Magda Apanowicz. And she's 28?!?

According to her resume, she plays characters much younger at "Age Range: 15 - 22". Oh and: Performance Skills: Martial Arts
That's TV for you. They always cast someone younger. A high school drama will be cast with college students, a college drama will be cast with full fledged adults, etc. A lot of it comes down to makeup, and a lot more comes down to people being so used to seeing older actors playing younger characters that the public loses all sense of reality. Nerd boy isn't much better, he's 25.

It makes sense. If you hire a 16 to 18 year old they are still at an age where they can dramatically change their appearance from one season to the next. It would be hard to do a cliffhanger if next season your actor looks like 25 instead of 15.

Plus if you hire under 18 year olds then you can get in trouble when you demand they have sex with you to get the part.

You just explained why my sense of age is so distorted. Saw 90210 et al. when growing up and expected similar looking people in high school and college. Nope, they all looked like jailbait and still do.

Defective Detective is somewhat invisible period. This is Kiera's show, but despite the fact that he's her partner, he doesn't get to do a whole lot. Hopefully the revelation that she's a time traveler - and the fact that he's now in the "inner circle" - means that this will change.

I want more Kellog. I think he's a great character. Doing just what I would if I got sent back in time, getting rich from knowing whats going to happen. 🙂

After last night's episode I've come to the conclusion that this show is badly squandering its premise and running time as far as science fiction goes. Now that we have a bit more information on the message to young Nerd Boy - that he's to avoid creating the corporatist future of the original timeline - the show hasn't done anything really examine in the issue in a thoughtful manner. It's completely avoiding any introspective analysis.

If this were Star Trek (ducks) this would be the point in time where it would get brainy. Where the characters would draw out the different benefits and cons of attempting to divert a potential and known future. Even if you can agree that the corporatist future is a bad thing, what about what lead to it? From what little we know the corporations didn't just one day invade the world, but rather the major governments failed. If the corporatist future is changed, but not the underlying failure that cascaded into it, what then? Is humanity being doomed in a completely different way?

And what about Kiera? The show keeps harping on her desire to go home as it was; Alec has made it clear that he's not going to follow the old Alec's development. Does Alec have the right to change the future like that? We only ever see this issue from the emotional side of a heartbroken Kiera, but never the logical. Even Stargate: Continuum put more thought into the subject in all of 10 seconds than this series has done in over a year.

To be clear I don't expect the series to be Star Trek, but for as deep as they're trying to be, it's especially non-brainy. Rather than surprise killing someone for a thrill, it would be nice if it spent some time being intellectual, and to use the established universe to cover these issues in a coherent manner.

On an aside, it's a shame that SyFy is so far back on this series. Given what's going on with the NSA these past couple of weeks, the most recent episodes are extremely timely to the subject matter. Not that the show is doing anything smart with it thus far.

Off topic, Garza totally needs to go around wearing next to nothing more often.😛

They have completely wasted Kellog this season. He just shows up to the lab to give Alec a bad time and leaves.

A very gratuitous Garza ass shot. More please.

I had a thought. Crazy future tech guy is the real Mr. Escher.

After all the talk about how dangerous Alecs computer work is Keira's eyes light up when she considers using he slice to track down her enemies.

I guess there was no episode last night, june23rd.
I was checking to see how many episodes there will be this season. It looks like only 10. So two more to go.

Nerd girl is so getting killed by next season. That's a massive death flag.

I have to admit that this season was nowhere near as good as the first. At times I almost gave up on it.

But, I just saw the season finale, and holy shit that was wild.

Crazy Jason is not Alec's father but his SON?

Escher may or may not be Alecs father?

The group that killed Gardner is another faction that is seeking to prevent the use of time travel?

Carlos knew Betty was the mole?

Carlos and Betty are joining up with Julian?

Each time someone goes back into the past they create a new timeline?

Alec was playing both Keira and Escher and his plan was to go back in time and save his girlfriend?

WTF?

I won't mock anyone for continuing to watch it, but personally I gave up 3 episodes ago. The intrigue has taken a turn for the stupid; I can no longer be bothered to care.:|

If you can get thru those few episodes the finale is a humdinger.
