Contagion: the most boring film IN A GENERATION

I thought Contact was one of the finest films ever.

When someone calls a movie a "fine film" that's how I know to avoid it. It's code for "2deep4u."

As for Contagion, I'm really glad now I put my foot down and refused to see it with my wife. I wanted to see Moneyball, she wanted to see Contagion, we couldn't agree to see the other's movie, so we just ended up not seeing either one. I almost caved and agreed to see both but I didn't want to spend four and a half hours sitting in a theater.

Meh, I liked it. The movie presented (imo) a much more realistic and compelling scenario regarding law and order, crisis management, conspiracy theories, etc.. during an epidemic.

Want apocalypse, action and explosions to go along with your plagues, then watch 28 days later or something.

This.

This movie really was a boring pile of shit. I saw it in the theater and I spent 2 hours on the edge of my seat waiting for all 3 or 4 of that storylines to coincide in someway to a resolution but....nothing. Just absolutely nothing for 2 hours. I could have slept for those 2 hours my dreams are more exciting.

OP is easily bored when a movie ends up being more realistic and less sensationalized disaster flick.

Let's see, I liked The American, The Road, and a couple of others mentioned here.

OP seems to be on meds, so I'm gonna assume that Contagion is actually pretty good.
