No surprises. Toyota and Honda own as usual

Of the 32 car models with the highest reliability ratings, 29 were from Japan-based manufacturers. Toyota, with 16, and Honda, with 7, had the most vehicles with top reliability ratings. South Korean automaker Hyundai's Sonata earned a top spot in the ratings this year, a first for that manufacturer.

Funny how when you slap a supercharger onto a Grand Prix it goes from most reliable to least reliable. Either its a completely different car or the rental car companies stuff the ballot box with positive reviews.

Now why can't Toyota and Honda make a vehicle like the LR3?...instead of these ugly, pansy highlanders and pilots. Closest is the 4runner, and thats not nearly as well styled as the Land rovers.

i dont know about you, but i didnt see a single Korean Car on the 'least reliable' side... In another 5 or so years, i think most people will consider korean and japanese cars about even. Hyundai is already as good in my opinion... Kia is definetly getting there.

Are you kidding? Most people do NOT think Korean cars = Japanese cars in quality. When people think reliable, they think Toyota and Honda not Hyundai or Kia.

Well after seeing this I will definitely not get a Mercedes-Benz S-Class and instead get the IS300 with my giant imaginery lotto winnings 😉

BTW German cars are getting so sophisticated now that they say you might be changing cars in the future not because the engine breaks down but because the computer components of the car got fried.

They will never do that by offering their cars well below the prices of Honda or Toyota for similarly equipped cars, nor will they do that by continuing to offer their ridiculous 10 year warranties.

Perhaps but they are still way behind in technology. What will happen when they need to build more sophisticated cars? Who knows. Its a long learning process. They may take a step back before moving forward.

Actually low margins and 10 year warranty is a good incentive to keep warranty repairs down by improving quality.

Well I think it's fairly evident that they're trying to improve quality....it's not like they're trying to make it worse 😛
