That's the thing.. I've personally seen a few drones (two in total) over the last month.

But I don't live in Jersey. I cannot confirm or deny they have been hovering over some people's houses.. I actually thought they were police drones because I don't hear police helicopters anymore.

And there's a shit ton of twitter bots amplifying/ reposting stuff so atleast twitter believes it's an issue or is making it an issue.

You vinyl guys just kill me. It's like you don't hear surface noise that is impossible to eliminate unless you made an optical grove reader, and there would still be distortions. I mean I get why people like the sound of old tube amps with there built in distortion (harmonics). Guess why they made fuzz foot pedals.
Poor mastering of albums to CD caused most of the problems that people claim to hear.

Surface noise is rarly an issue for us. Most records sound as good as hi rez streaming on my system. I clean our records so there are no pops even in records older than me.

So this whole MD/NJ/NY drone thing…I have some thoughts.

Earlier, when drones were reported over several military bases and proving grounds, I was convinced that these drones were a form of foreign espionage/counterintelligence—probably related to China or Russia.

But now—I’m more and more convinced that the federal government saying “no big deal” means that these drones are an inside job—I think the US military and associated contractors are testing new equipment and accidentally let the cat out of the bag without having any talking points or PR strategy.

Another possibility—some private outfit is testing some newfangled drone taxi thingy and they got FAA clearance—and the government doesn’t want to admit that someone fucked up and let them fly where they shouldn’t have.

There's quite a few maintenance departments using drones for video surveillance and inspection of their infrastructure. Bridges, highways, cell towers etc. They do it at night because it doesn't impact any daytime operations.

And in no way would drone owners see the initial reaction and how much chaos this causes for some people and decide to start flying their drones just to fuck with people. Nope. My first thought is some stupid rich nerd either owns a really "sick looking" drone or hired a drone company to fly a drone around Vegas. Mo ey and stupid thrive in Vegas. Either that or someone is using the hys-stupidity to promote something/advertise a product.
