How about Mar a Lago for starters?Think after we dump Trump we have to somewhat start focusing on the homeless problem.. maybe by making parking lots where Vans/ mobile homes/ trailers can be housed.

In a way it’s housing & feeding them plus keeping them away from drinking & drugs. Not necessarily kind way of doing it.The simple answer to homelessness which it looks like scotus is going to go along with is just make being homeless illegal so you can fine and jail them.

From working in Cities homelessness is not an easy nut to crack. Overwhelming majority of the homeless are simply too fucked up to care for themselves, they need structure and someone else to do it.
I agree we need far, far more housing. It’s build fucking housing….repeat after me…build fucking housing. The problem is there is a shortage of 7m affordable housing units in this country. Penalizing people for being poor won’t fix shit. It just makes them poorer. If you are really interested in learning more check out the story below.

'Housing, not handcuffs': Advocates seek solutions for homelessness beyond fines and arrests
The Supreme Court is hearing a case Monday that could have major implications for how cities and local jurisdictions deal with homelessness.www.wbur.org
So the answer is debt and jail? Because that’s the only result of criminalizing homelessness.I agree we need far, far more housing.
Now back to homelessness explain how someone who has no job and will not have a job because:
They have no experience
They may not have graduated high school
They have severe dependency issues with drugs and/or drinking
They have been arrested likely more than once
They speak in a lazy and frankly uneducated way
They do not groom themselves well
They do not care for themselves
They are prone to petty arguments
They are obviously mentally ill
How is that person going to get a job, how is that person going to get approved & pay a mortgage?
The root problem of much of the homeless is addiction & mental illness. There is no fixing it without addressing those issues.
Think of yourself has there ever been a time in your life where you lost your housing and everything you had. What would cause such a calamity? Hopefully it hasn’t happened to you so let’s just pretend you lose everything you have tomorrow. I bet there are multiple people you could speak to that would offer you a space in their home maybe not forever but long enough to have something again. What happened to the homeless peoples friend and family network? Their substance abuse and general craziness burned all those bridges and nobody will allow them into their home because of all the chaos and craziness that comes with them.
That’s the problem. That’s what I mean by many are not capable of caring for themselves because they are too screwed up with addiction. That addiction is the cause of all problems that follow. Nothing will be changed until whatever is driving that addiction is gone.
quite well actually. How well do jails work at resolving mental health issues? Addiction issues? What happens to people who are unable to make court dates for tickets for being homeless in our system?
Ffsquite well actually.
The state provided and paid for healthcare means that for the first time in many peoples lives, they receive healthcare.
In prison, the state has an interest in prisoners receiving mental health treatment. It is cheaper then if they don't and well, cause problems.
Many prisoners are not able to access their meds after being released from prison, know this, lament, and despair.
Addiction issues are dealt with quite poorly in the prison system. Prisoners sadly have access to a wide selection of addictive drugs in quantity and lots of free time.
America, it is the Greatest Country in the World!
I mean, at this point you may as well just shoot them. It'd be more humane and less complicated.quite well actually.

Pretty much what I am saying. While I do not want it to be like what happened pre-early 80s where problem people were simply warehoused into crowed rooms with little care. I am saying in a loving caring environment restrict where the they can go not in a cruel punitive way in a loving caring way (we all know what I mean let’s not drag this statement out forever). Get them clean and treat them with the goal of them ultimately leaving in a better condition and capable of self care.I've heard people with direct expertise in the issue claim both this (that a lot of the homeless have severe mental health or addiction problems that need to be fixed first), and the reverse argument (that the first priority has to be providing homes because ultimately the problem is there aren't enough of them), with equal conviction. The latter certainly seems to be objectively verifiable (it's just a question of counting), but heard many convincing arguments for the former as well. So, maybe, you know, both are necessary?
But nobody, and I mean nobody, conducts we do not give a shit about you dehumanization at scale as well as we do. Fuck yea USA #1! 1.8 mil in a box! The reds are catching up, but we still have them beat!

sounds like communismOr maybe we should do what the intelligent countries do.. teach respect, safe space and cleaning up after yourself.
