Why yes, some game designs are much more suited for a joypad compared to KB+M.

As for FOV in 3D games, the player should be allowed to set it on all platforms as the "correct" FOV depends on viewing angle. Which actually varies in console setups more than in PC setups, I think.

Much more suited for joypad in that you mean optimized for auto-aiming. You lose that satisfaction of working to get that nice headshot all by yourself.

If the correct FOV depends on viewing angle (or is it distance) then why console ports seem to assume PC players sit far away from their monitors or are using their big TVs as monitors?

Of course not. Auto-aim almost guarantees the game design is not good for pads.

It's angle. And it's not just console ports with that problem.
