Rust on the rotors will come off as soon as you drive, and reappear overnight. Almost all cars do this. Nothing to worry about.

I know that type of rust.. this rust is on the hub where the wheel mounts, and on the edge of the rotor (basically where the brake pads are not in contact). It appears the rear brake rotors were replaced, as they are rusted and the fronts are still protected by a coating.

The car was sold and serviced in New Jersey, and it appears it was near the ocean. I have some surface rust patches on a few of the engine components and on the steering linkage. It is pretty minor though and I may just wipe it down with some light oil.
