Oh yeah, so Graham says we're all sinners but the gays are worse sinners than the sinners he identifies himself with so they need to be kicked out of the body of Christ.

OK Graham, really good point you made there.

We are all sinners and that is why when God revealed the Bible to men they couldn’t hear what He had to say about gays. They were sinners and chose to be deaf and put their sinful bigotry into The Book as if they were His words. It has taken a couple of thousand years for progressive Christians of greater moral rectitude to see God can’t be such a bigot. Naturally there are still millions of the most morally inferior Christians that don’t yet realize this.

Always fun to see adulterers attack gays for not abiding by Christian morals.

You know, I really like Buttigieg and what he stands for, but I think it was stupid to go after Pence for his faith. Everyone knows Pence is a hypocrite. That attack was pointless. Pete almost invited the counterpunch...

Saying "some liberals are serving a “God of their imagination.” " does so tempt one to think 'er...well, now you mention it...'

"My God is the real one, your's is imaginary".

I constantly try not to be a Dawkins-style anti-theist. But its sometimes hard to take this stuff seriously.

You can't argue with these people.
Their head is up their ass. They believe they ARE god by the way they judge others. They twist the bible to fit their beliefs, twisting one scripture while totally ignoring another scripture that goes against their twisted beliefs. The funny thing is they truly believe in the rapture yet they would never come close to being worthy. They are the main reason so many people are turning away from organized religion. That, and their undying admiration of the son of Satan.... their true lord and god Donald Trump. For Trump they would give up everything including their own soul.
These are the people that can really screw up a kid, and they have quite often.
All I know is, I would never allow one to babysit one of my children.

He didn't really "go after his faith." He said Pence is using his faith to justify bad policies. Buttigieg is attempting to persuade Christians that Christianity is more consistent with liberal policies than conservative ones. It may or may not prove to be a useful strategy, but at least he's thinking outside the box.

So far as the attack, saying "Episcopalians aren't real Christians" isn't a very effective one. If nothing else, it could make Episcopalians who would otherwise vote GOP think twice before doing so. What they really wanted to say is that he can't be a Christian because he's gay and "God hates ****" but for now they're trying out the "Episcopalians aren't real Christians" as a trial balloon. It's so lame that I doubt it will persist much longer. I'm sure they'll find some other kind of horseshit to run with.

The lameness of the attack suggests he's concerning to them or they wouldn't go on the attack with something so ill conceived and half-baked.

Pete didn't attack his faith he attacked his hypocrisy and mean spiritness like when he signed the RIFRA law in Indiana that allowed discrimination against gay people. They were later forced to rescind the law and Pence went on TV stammering trying to explain.

Kind of interesting seeing Democrats come out strong on faith. Not sure it was actually a bad idea.

Ever since Mayor Pete completely destroyed Pence on CNN with sheer facts and not an ounce of spite, republicans are now seeing him to be a serious threat. And they should. His "your problem is with my creator" was masterful. Really shows you we're dealing with an intellect here. I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.

Dude went from nowhere to polling 3rd in NH(!!!)

Anyone who says Buttigieg attacked Pence's faith wasn't listening. He took issue with Pence's propensity to ignore his faith for the sake of politics, and he was a 100% correct. "Christians" like Pence are mortified, they understand only a segment of their own base believes their horseshit now, and that someone who truly operates within the values of their faith makes them look like poseurs at best, lying hypocritical con artists at worst.

Zero sympathy for Pence. He choose Trump's porn star presidency over the values and morals he has never shut up about his entire life. I almost hope the hell that Pence and Co believe in exists, becasue if it does that's where traitors like him will go. And good riddance.

Republicans hate smart people because they don’t speak to them. Well they do, their just to stupid to get it. This explains their love fo Trump, his IQ is on their level.

Not gay enough for the liberals and not Christian enough for the conservatives. Mayor Pete has my vote.

Have to say, after more than an hour after reading

"Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Dallas and an evangelical adviser to Trump, argued on Todd Starnes’ radio show that some liberals are serving a “God of their imagination.” The conservative columnist himself wrote that Buttigieg “wants to shove Evangelical Christians into the closet.”

... I am still laughing. Not sure what's more funny though. The FUD being sprayed everywhere at the notion of evangelicals losing their choice position of control, or the hilarity of these people accusing others of 'serving a god of their imagination.' Just...wow.

Remember evangelicals, vaccines give you autism and teh gay.

He can’t be a Christian. He hasn’t been caught in the men’s room tapping his toes or in a motel with a underage boy.

There is still plenty of time for Pete to take advanced "How to be a real Christian" classes from Trump University.

You'll have to excuse the religious conservatives. The trend of people seeing their nonsense for what it is happens to be accelerating, not reversing. It causes them no small amount of butthurt. They are on the losing side of their culture war and they know it.

For the first time "No Religion" has topped a survey of Americans' religious identity, according to a new analysis by a political scientist. The non-religious edged out Catholics and evangelicals in the long-running General Social Survey.

These latest efforts to impose their religion on the rights and bodies of women will only come to pass via republican corruption, and it will cost them dearly.

Sooner or later the country is going to have to deal with the court seat stealing, Putin sucking, gerrymandering constitutional menace called the GOP.

Well the Presidents spiritual advisor did say God spoke to Her about Donald Trump winning.
I AM NOT JOKING EITHER, SHE SAID THAT OR SOMETHING REALLY SIMILAR.
