i was going to get x800gto2 too... now the 6800gs is out for only 200$ i dropped that idea of the mod adventure...

the 6800gs's oc very well, are hella good value ...6800gs have hdr and sm3 support...dont draw much power...have those cute little powerconnectors too which should ensure for great oc'ing....

my conclusion...bye bye ati and hellooooo nvidia :p

Based on price/performance. GTO (165 after rebate?) >GS ($ 199)>GTO2 (230+) in my opinion.

If you don't want to mod tho. GS is not a bad choice.

You can get the Connect3D x800 GTO -- the one that has been reported to unlock and overclock -- for $154 shipped after a $15 rebate and a $10 coupon code from MonarchComputer.com.
