The game looks like crap now. I can't believe this.
It looks like all of those ridiculous config files that make shadows black as black in broad daylight (of course the sun is ~ 10 miles away).

I'm not pinning it on anyone on these forums -- just a general anger against the folks who couldn't muster the balls to set the game to medium.

There were no "WOW" moments like in Crysis (remember when the sun comes up on the first map?)

It is SUPER foggy and the water is filthy.

I doubt that the 360 could handle Crysis on high even at a low(er) resolution like 720P. Then again, if you make a game that looks like crap and runs good on old equipment, you widen your audience greatly. Shame if they did not include a high quality mode on par with Crysis.

I'm playing it right now and I think it looks just as good if not better. In fact, I was playing Crysis on higher settings (maximum on most, high on others). On Warhead I'm only playing at Gamer.

Of course, I've only played about 30-40 minutes so far.

Yes, but most of the time soil is not green when it lacks grass / vegetation (3rd, picture, iirc).

Hmm... that one pic with the green "turf" without any foliage reaks a bit of cheap optimization. However, supposedly from the reviews the game has improved in appearance. I wouldn't mind if they cut down the foliage a tad because it excessively cut down performance, with a concurrent improvement in other areas

They look like ass and looks like they are set on low... I'm playing on mainstream and it looks better.

go to crymod.com and check some of the screenies there. different story.

The sun rises over the beach in the first map just like Crysis. It looks equally spectacular.

It actually looks to me that the last one is not on Very High settings. Very High in Crysis adds that brownish tint that you see in the first screen shots 3 and 4. High settings actually a make the game more blue/green and reduce the haze.
