congenital amputee Kyle Maynard to make MMA debut

He's nutts but I respect his heart, he's apparently a damn good wrestler. I just don't see a dude with stumps at his elbows and deformed feet at his knees competing in MMA. He had to go to a state that didn't have an Athletic Commission, as they wouldn't sanction him to fight (don't really blame them) But it's his dream to fight in MMA. I'm wondering if his opponent will even be able to bring himself to fight him. However this ends up, this is definitely an inspiring story, even if it's very bizarre and psycho.

this is a joke right?

I dont think he understands theres no such thing as pinning for points... Once you get down there you gotta do something.

I feel bad for the guy he's fighting, in a lose-lose situation. It's like fighting a girl

it's not a joke, I have a link somewhere as usual I forgot to post it AWH DAMN lemme dig it up.

linky

fighting him will be a lose lose, I don't see anyone actually losing to him, but no matter how you beat him. You still beat a person who is severely handicapped.

no respectable fighter will even consider this.. unless they get mesmerized by the dollar signs the company backing this will throw at them

Seems he'll have no good way of protecting his neck, so a choke submission should be a humane way to take him down.

I seen some of his vids and all he does is grab a leg then does a spin move. In wrestling it was hard to get a hold on him because he had no arms and no legs to do must of the moves for wrestling. In MMA kicks are going be his down fall and that is what I do to him. I would try and kick him like a football. He will most likely grab a leg I would walk up to the cage and swing him into the cage. Also use my other leg to kick him. He is going to be in a world of hurt if he fights someone that can kick well.

in American MMA, you cannot kick somebody who's on their knees. I think technically he is always on his knees. So a fighter would have to maybe pick him up in order to kick him lol. He might be safe from kicks due to the technicality of him not having much for legs.

somebody picking him up and punting him like a football would be pretty crazy to watch though.

I think the rules are that you cannot kick/knee the head of a downed opponent. You could still give this guy kicks to the body until he craps himself.

You can knee the body and kick you just can't stomp. It will be interesting to see what rules they give him.

The commission would have to define if he's on his knees as he is right now. It just presents a lot of rule challenges

I don't think they should let him fight. He's going to get killed. You could just pick him up by the head and he really couldn't do anything could he? Sure, he might wiggle around a bit, but get a good grip and its all over.
