$6 gas is coming by the end of the month.

ISIS will likely ensure that a sympathizer is put in place, and from there they will squeeze the life out of the American economy, with Russia as an ally. I see us with boots on the ground in Mecca within 4 years, which means war with all of Islam.

Alternate personality for McOwen:confused:

Speculation only based on an Egyptian media statement

According the the Egyptian Television network "El-Nha'r, the Saudi king will announce in the next few days that he is giving up his crown.

The Saudi Military is pretty much a joke.

Which part?

They have tons of advanced military equipment, but never train their troops well, and never fight wars in general.

True, subjective, false.

Their air force isn't even Syria-caliber in actual talent. And that is the most professional force they have. The insane amount of state-of-the-art equipment they have will allow them to punch above their weight.

Nope. The most professional and effective people they have are those in roles similar to those used by their Bedouin forefathers. Recon, infantry, armor...ground stuff, in their element. In the 1st Gulf War they gave a good accounting of themselves, which did surprise everyone (even them) but I'm not talking about the prissy aristocrat manchildren we know as the Saudi Royal Air Force. Those guys spend more time flying to Bahrain for European pussy than they do practicing bomb runs or combat tactics. "All weather" is simply not in their vocabulary. I mean that's just sad. Real shame those sweet Eagle variants Boeing just sent them aren't going to be flown by serious pilots, but yeah, they will definitely be punching above their weight with those.

But no, ISIS will never overrun SA. Not if the US still has bombs to drop on them.

Agreed. Allies wouldn't allow it, and I'd hazard a guess and say millions of non-crazy muslims would have a problem with a group like ISIS taking over Mecca and Medina.

Knew a guy who was attached to a Saudi light armor unit in Desert Storm who said the biggest problem is that field grade officers are all royal family and never show up during training exercises, so not much really gets done. Consequently they tend to panic when taking fire. (I have no way to verify any of that so salt to taste.)

Gonna be interesting if this all ends up with Greater Kurdistan, Shi'i City, and Nutjobland.

I'm not sure if you're joking or delusional.

Boots on the ground in Mecca. Don't say I didnt tell you so.

Islam may let it slide when they see American soldiers in Mecca, i mean it has happened before, and not all of them are ISIS sympathizers. But when they see how far female soldiers have progressed in our military since we were there last in the 90s, it will be all out war with Islam.

Specifically women operating vehicles. Huge nono in Mecca.

To war! (in my head i'm saying it like Thorin Oakenshield in the Hobbit, to show my level of enthusiasm for the extermination of Islam)!

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah, the powerful U.S. ally who joined Washington's fight against al-Qaida and sought to modernize the ultraconservative Muslim kingdom with incremental but significant reforms, including nudging open greater opportunities for women, has died, according to Saudi state TV. He was 90.

Abdullah's death was announced on Saudi state TV saying the king died after midnight on Friday. His successor is his 79-year-old half-brother, Prince Salman, who has recently taken on the ailing Abdullah's responsibilities, according to the official Saudi Press Agency.
