there is no way im going to rehab for pot, thats a joke.

I cant suddenly quit my life and check into rehab i have a job and school responsibilities.

So, you don't really want to quit. I have nothing against bad habits, I think everyone needs a few. However, if yours is causing you a problem or, people you love think it's causing a problem then, it might be time to quit.

tolerance break? you fool... clearly now is the time to enhance your high by stepping up to a big boy's drug like meth. everyone knows this.
Yeah, don't be a pussy. You can still make your own supply at home too instead of using a national forest.

Honestly, even if you quit you probably won't have a normal emotional life. You've been smoking so long that your body has probably developed nervousness and a quick temper, so if you do quit you'll just be that person.

It's like the reverse of the people who actually do smoke medicinally. They have an emotional/psychological condition that requires them to be medicated to live out each day, so rather than taking a synthetic drug they smoke weed. You've gone the other way though.

IMHO. I may just be talking out my ass but my friend has been smoking about the same as you, and his most recent attempt at quitting last less than a week because he was outcasting everyone by being so angry and nervous. Although that's partially withdrawal symptoms.

I was being overly dramatic to prove a point. My point is MJ is not physically addicting so saying you can't quit is a total cop out, if you quit cigs you can most definately quit pot.
You just don't want too. So maybe you do need to be locked up for a couple of weeks and told that your a special flower just as you are, truly one of a kind:) and you don't need to be stoned to be special

im asking for help, and get your facts straight,it been proven reefer does not fry brain cells. I've written a 10 page essay on medicinal marijuana for class and done plenty of research the only negative aspect to pot is when you burn it, hence the vaporizer.

any alteration of the brain's chemistry is going to do damage. Its not permanent but it does take some time to get back to normal.

If you really are ready to quit, you are going to have to stop defending your actions.

ATOT is not the place to reach out for help.

I have a relative that just moved to oregon and just got his medical card. He has 25 plants setup with a hydroponic system. Im seriously debating on doing the same and just selling to the clubs. Hes yielding 15 pounds every harvest and selling it to the clubs at 2500/pound. Not to mention all the smoke he could practically want. Not bad for some side job that takes up no time.

That's not much income...

I don't really understand this post... you want to quit, but you don't really want to?

If you want to have a break from it, then just take a break. Find another activity that you can do (non-drug related) and do that for two weeks or so. Try to enjoy another aspect of life without an "enhancement" as some see it. Clear eyes provide a different opportunity of seeing things.

If you want to actually stop doing the drug, I would say ween off the time spent with your friends that partake in those actions. I know this will be difficult, but rest assured, there are people who are just as fun that don't need to self-medicate or get high. From the people I know that don't cut off contact with those people, they often end up hanging out with them and getting high again. Most of the time, those people that want to quit have some potential, but it's lost due to the need to get high or self-medicate. I see it as a loss of drive or ambition, while there are some that can function and actually function better on a drug; there are many, if not more, who cannot function properly on a drug and they lose their sights of the goals that they had.

All I can say is, unless there is some medical reason for you to smoke (pain, cancer, depression, anxiety), then try going without it for awhile. Doesn't mean you can't do it as a recreational drug if you really can't get away from it.

I like to think that the weed is just hiding your ability to live. Are you sure it makes your food taste better or is just a psychological effect making you care less about the taste of the food? Does it really enhance your ability to enjoy an activity or are you just unable to make the activity fun without a stimulant? On the occasions I've smoked, I just found it to be OK, nothing that could make me do it everyday/all day. Even in the situation where there is no cost, not utilizing my day to its full potential because I'm stoned is deflating enough.

If you really need help, go to a church. Those mfers know how to fix people up. Or so I hear.

What addiction specialist would laugh at you?
Even if it was in your head, it'd still be his job to help you get over it...
SHENS!

btw.. have fun with the anxiety, puking, insomnia, no appetite when quitting. You're probably already smoking now to avoid those symptoms.

This comes as no surprise to me. 90% of ATOT are potheads anyway.

Which probably explains the level of mental retardation on this forum too :p

OP, you have recognized and admitted that you have a problem, which is the first and indispensable step.

Baby steps or big steps, you're bright enough to know that doing nothing is one big pile of personal fail.

Which is why it's always called "with intent to sell." Intent doesn't have to be proven.

In any case, take a break or find a new bad habit. Cooking gear, beer brewing and, good food do it for me.

NH's wording is as follows-

I. It shall be unlawful for any person to manufacture, possess, have under his control, sell, purchase, prescribe, administer, or transport or possess with intent to sell, dispense, or compound any controlled drug, or controlled drug analog, or any preparation containing a controlled drug, except as authorized in this chapter.

Intent to dispense..bingo. Likely looking at a felony in NH (and probably most other places).

That's not much income...

Even at one harvest per year (tax-free), that's more than I make. :/
