well by searching tea party members pushing social issues here is the second item I found.

http://www.houstonchronicle.com/new...t-boils-over-in-Montgomery-County-5253973.php

and this tea party darling Todd Akin:

Akin served as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee.[22] During his 12 years in the state house, Akin advocated for homeschool rights,[23] voted for carrying concealed weapons, voted against the parks and soils sales tax, and voted against the 1993 tax increase and education spending increase.[24] Akin sponsored legislation to prohibit casino companies from contributing to Missouri state lawmakers.[25] In 1995, he fought Democratic Governor Mel Carnahan over a bill providing state-funding for school nurses. Ultimately, the governor refused to sign the funding bill due to Akin's amendment which would have prohibited nurses from telling students about sources for information about abortion.[26]

Or Tom Graves:
Graves is pro-fetus and has voted to limit abortion. He also supports ending all federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

LMAO, good work, you found a county election with a local party and drug up stuff from Akin's past. Now show me which bills he sponsored or co-sponsored, or hell, even voted for that relate to social issues.

O wait, you mean he didn't get elected? Funny how that works...

The Tea Party is about fiscal issues so when people talk about the social crap they're just fake.

there you are representing the "Tea Party" again.

when dan patrick is talking about how much he loves jesus and is doing his best to get abortion banned he's being fake?

Guy I just put a few moments worth of effort into this. I will give you credit though its more Tea Party supporters that go full loony. That does not excuse the representatives for going partially loony though.

But it excuses any of you liberals who want to paint us all with the same brush.

I'm going to take the low road, fuck off.

I didn't even look into Michelle Bachmann, if I remember correctly she said something about church and state are inseparable. We'll never agree so I am done playing this game.

Washington lobbyist Jack Burkman issued a statement saying that his firm, J M Burkman & Associates, is preparing legislation that would ban gay athletes from playing in the National Football League (NFL).

This is my biggest issue, why the hell can lobbyist straight up write legislation? If we want any change of this country running right again, we need to give a big fat boot to all the lobbyist.

This proposal will go no where, even if he finds one loon to sign onto it.

anyone can write legislation, it's getting a congresscritter to sponsor it and then push it through that's the trick.

It's obvious this is just a publicity stunt. But in all seriousness, one doesn't do a publicity stunt just to be a tree falling in the woods. The sad thing is that someone, somewhere, thinks this is a good idea and these lobbyists now have their attention.

Way to go GOP. Just in case there was even a single person outside your completely batshit base who thought you might be moderating about social issues, you immediately spring to action to reassure them that's not the case. Because gay bashing is how you win the hearts and minds of American youth and reassure the libertarians and Rockefeller moderates who think the Dems are completely wrong on fiscal issues and might be open to voting for you.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/02/...-to-ban-gay-athletes-from-playing-in-the-nfl/

Washington lobbyist Jack Burkman issued a statement saying that his firm, J M Burkman & Associates, is preparing legislation that would ban gay athletes from playing in the National Football League (NFL).

In a statement, Burkman wrote that “We are losing our decency as a nation. Imagine your son being forced to shower with a gay man. That’s a horrifying prospect for every mom in the country. What in the world has this nation come to?”

According to the statement, the idea for a Congressional ban on gay athletes in the NFL came to him after he watched coverage of Michael Sam’s decision to come out of the closet prior to the NFL draft. In recent weeks, Sam has been praised by many Democratic lawmakers, as well as First Lady Michelle Obama, who called him “an inspiration.”

I would say this man is a Tea Party Toady, trying to drum up business the GOP mainstream won't touch.

This is how 99.9% of all legislation is written. Just the way it is. Pretty much all staffers work on the hill for years and get sweet lobbying gigs after they get enough experience. No one is going to spend 20 years as a staffer making 45K a year.

The very act of responding to his posts would violate the anti-sodomy laws that Tea Party members have supported in the past.

STFU You lowlife. Ted Cruz doesn't represent the entire Tea Party. And why am I not surprised that you idiots used the huffington post, it is crap.
