I spilled some water on my already unreliable Microsoft mouse, and the left button stopped working.
I unplugged it and plugged in a new Logitech G9X, hoping plug and play would take care of it. Wrong.
It didn't work at all. I rebooted and got a message about 'USB device is bad and unknown'.
I did some basic diagnostics. I switched back to the MS mouse; it still moved the cursor but no button.
I ran control center; under mouse, it said the MS mouse was installed and workiing ok. I hit install new device and it didn't find any.
Funny thing, going around control center menus, one place actually has icons for several devices and ine is for the G9X. Pressing it does nothing though.
So I'm totally with the computer unusuable until I get this new G9X working. Win 7 Ultimate.
