what the hell..i can't defragment my drive or chkdsk it...it fails part way thru chkdsk/f while booting...a nice bright blue screen...i even defaulted my bios (not o/ced, etc.)
you tried using the disk defragmenter built in to Win2k?
administrative tools->computer management->there's a disk defrag option there
(in win2k pro, at least, i think it's under something else in win2k server)
go to sysinternalsthey have excellent info on win NT/2k ,
all varietys.
Mark Russonovich ,the webmaster, makes his living writing and working about win NT/2k.
the tbcspud.sys driver for my turtle beach santa cruz...i deleted it, rebooted and chkdsked - worked fine...
then undeleted it and rebooted and got sound back...
odd.
anyone else try this? (incompatiblity between SC+win2k+chkdsk/f)
