Compression fittings

Been awhile since ive done a full custom watercooling loop, but an incredibly good deal came up on a pair of EK 680 waterblocks that I couldn't pass up.

My last custom loop I did was 1/2" ID (unsure of the OD of the tubing) with compression fittings and an MCP655 pump. I would prefer to go with 3/8 ID tubing, but the mcp655 has a 1/2" ID standard fitting.

Any suggestions on tubing size and fittings? Also would an MCP355 be enough grunt to push a 2 x 140mm rad + 1 x 140mm rad + 2 x GTX 680s + i5 4670k running approx. 4.5ghz (would like that anyways).
 
A custom top for your MCP655 would solve your diameter woes. I'm not sure if 3x140 is enough radiator for your setup, but the pump would probably do... alright.
 
u need a new top for the D5...

there is no way your gonna get 3/8 over a D5 cleanly and if you do, it will be more painful when you try to remove it.

Since ur restarting, i would probably look at a D5 bay res... a bay res with a D5 holder built into it, and go that route.
 
I bought a mint condition XSPC Acrylic D5 bay reservoir (old style where it mounts at 90 degrees to the reservoir component. It really works well. You can see from my rig below I'm running 2 360 rads (XSPC rx360 and EX360). I know I have a 3930k and it pumps out more thermals (I measure via software @178W max but it could be 200w) but I'm running 2 GTX670 ftws and I have them OC'd. Your pump is fine but 3-140 rads? OUCH. Your GPUs will overwhelm it unless you max your fans.

BrightCandle's formula, Total watts/130 = 120mm rad spaces is a great starting point.
 
Need more rad space. Thermals for the 4670k is 130W at stock and 162W OC'd to 4.6GHhz. The 680s stock each are 200W. At all stock you are at 530W. BrightCandles formula for 120mmrads is Total Watts/130=# of 120mm rad spaces. 530/130 is just over 4 rad spaces. I doubt 3 140s will cut it.
