I just hope 3D realms understands, if this game doesn't turn out to be histories greatest contrubtion to human culture and the cure for at least one type of cancer, then I and every other reviewer are going to saw its f****** buttox off.

Above is in reference to DNF if you do not watch this guys reviews.

That aside, bookmarked for when someone claims that there are no more games coming out for PC.

It's "bollocks" you jackass. It's British.

Wow! Real exciting news about Huxley too! Anyone heard of this game? It looks awesome!!!! Wait a second. Is this 2006?

Not holding my breath. But nice to see some Tribes loving in that thread. Ascension and the other one look pretty good.

Some of these games look really cool. It looks like the more innovative ones are coming out for the PC, while the consoles only get the more "mainstream" ones.

I want to see Alan Wake, only because I really loved the Max Paine games.

Some of the space-type games look cool, but I've been waiting for another X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter for sooo long...

I've never played an MMO, but some of them look cool, too.

I'm starting to reconsider quiting gaming. I keep thinking that I'm too old for it (20), but some of these look so awesome...

oh, and another Splinter Cell couldn't hurt (unless it's got starf*ck or whatever). Hopefully 5 is better than 4 tho...

To be honest... Nothing like this past year...

This past year has been horrible for games. The only thing even remotely interesting was Hellgate London, and that was a big letdown.

Portal???? the witcher? The whole orange box???? Bioshock??? Crysis? just to name a few...

Yeah no shit. 07 was arguably the best year for gaming *ever*. Let's not forget STALKER, Supreme Commander, World in Conflict, and a whole slew of great stuff for the consoles.

Didn't like Bioshock or Crysis at all. Tried the Witcher, but didn't like not being able to name or custimze your character. Isn't Portal another Half Life like FPS? Meh.

Little disconnected from the gaming scene huh?

FPS games, yes. I started playing them with Wolfenstein 3D, and got bored of them over five years ago.

COD4 was fun, but it was way too short and the online play isn't really that great. I would speak much more highly on it if it was either A. longer or B. $30 bucks. For $50 bucks it isn't a deal at all, unless you happen to like the multi player. I found it to be dull, the SP as good as it is, wasn't worth $50 bucks to me.

only reason 07 seemed like the greatest year of game releases ever was because it's been awhile since we've had good releases.

Crysis is fun, good graphics, nothing really made it worth replaying to me. Ending sucked IMO, and overall the most hyped features of the game were only cool for a few minutes then I got bored.

STALKER is the real deal, awesome game.

Bioshock's incredibly cool, again I think it was a bit over hyped but I liked it better than Crysis.

could care less about MMO's and the best RTS's weren't as good as my favorites *shrug*

07 was mostly hype to me, if we see Mafia 2 and a few others and they live up to the expectations I don't see it being hard for 08 to be a much better gaming year than 07.

Well since Portal's not an FPS, you still have no excuse...

Waaaa is this Fallen Empire:Legions?

On the 10th anniversary of the best FPS imo(Tribes), are the makers of that game releasing a similar game?

That game is now on my radar!

Hell yeah. Tribes with the Shifter mod was some of the best multiplayer gaming I've played.

I wish people would stop labeling quake live as playable through a browser.
It doesn't even use the browser.

Shifter, Renegades, Havoc. Hell I had a blast playing base D&D and C&H for the first 6 months.

Actually, Tribes 2 was up there for the best multiplayer PC game for me, along with CS (which has gotten old), Diablo II, etc. If they could some how bring back the AWESOME gameplay of Tribes 2 while bringing the game up-to-date, it would be awesome. Anyone remember the Archipelago map?

Games that tried to be like tribes, like Planetscape (I think it was called that, required a monthly payment) just fell short. It was too complicated and the idea was good, but the gameplay just didn't really work...

Shit, did I kill the thread again? I'm unlucky like that. Anyway, this year of gaming is a good topic yo!
