What is the east coast like compared to the west coast, and vice versa?
I define East Coast as washington DC to Boston, but NC and SC can be included if you want.
I define West coast and Seattle, washington down through california.
Which has more traffic? More congestion? More crowding? which has better public transportation? Which is warmer? In which area are people "nicer"? "Friendlier"?
Thanks for any input.
lol. You "define" the West Coast as literall the entire west coast but you only define the East Coast as DC to Boston? What kind of bullshit is that? It makes zero sense...
Agreed. How can you possibly leave NY, NJ, Atlanta, etc... out of the mix?
Because it's not true. Anywhere there's standing water there's mosquitos.Originally posted by: Gibson486

No, but they're part of the East Coast with significant influence.

Yep. I was a West Coast Snob before I visited Boston and I liked it so much I moved there. The main thing I miss about California is the weather. I like short warm winters and long pleasent Springs, Summers and Falls which California has. The long cold Winters and the Short Humid Summers in N.E. are kind of tough for Californians like me to get use to but after a few years I'm finally adapting. I do like the people, the easy access to everything, the culture and especially the old style neighborhoods plus there's no greater Baseball fans than Red Sox fans!
BTW, the Earthquakes in CA are no big deal unless it's over 6.0 which are extremely rare. Anything under 6.0 is just a exciting ride!
QFT. In California you need to have a care to do anything.Like the songs says "Nobody walks in LA"Originally posted by: loki8481
one thing I have to say about the east coast is that if you're living in any major metro area, you can really do a ton without a car. I've got 2 grocery stores, 3 deli's, 2 bars and a movie theater all within walking distance to my apartment.

I think he meant "Northeast" rather than "East Coast." The Boston-DC megalopolis is definitely a different place than the cities of the New South...
