It just occurred to me . . . isn't Rush divorced? What would a good Christian man that isn't married . . . use Viagra for?

It just needs to be said... Again. Being conservative does not mean you are religious. People of faith fall all along the political spectrum. I don't understand this obsession some of you seem to have of always equating a conservative political leaning to fundie religious beliefs.

That said, all liberals are godless commies. 😛

no offense, but if you dont understand why, you are ignorant...they are in charge right now conservative fundamentalist christian freaks..that doesnt mean all conservatives are, but when they sit there and spout the fundamentalist garbage talking points 24/7 you start to equate them

So because he was guilty he got off? How about he wasn't in posession of anything. Funny- nothing made the media about this......................(so far). If he gets convicted, then I believe, if not-not.

Get real guys. You weren't there, if he had drugs, the police would not have released him.

Talk about prejudice................

I wonder if that good Chrisitan women he's smooching has a husband?

Hmm no mention on FoxNews

Nevermind you have to scroll down some . . .
"He said he had the Viagra in his possession for his use and that he did obtain it from his doctors," Miller said.
Now that's odd . . . why would you have prescriptions for Viagra from two separate doctors? Granted, maybe its a misprint or he misspoke.

Who says is for a woman? His hypocrasy knows no bounds... 😉

I always thought he was the worlds biggest buffoon if he believes in the crap he spouts. Or one of the world's most evil creative geniuses fleecing the gulible flock.

His actions of late seem to be an indicator.... 😀

your hypocrisy knows no bounds conjie.

One reason might be, the majority of people arrested are non-violent offenders. The war on drugs is a joke. Take a trip to Amsterdam sometime....

I'm puzzled as to how a doctor can prescribe weenie medicine without the name of the patient on the bottle. This matter should be investigated. It sounds like Rush's doctor is covering up for other misdeeds.

That's the REALLY interesting part of this story, an MD would have to be crazy (or extremely well compensated) to risk losing his DEA license and possibly even their medical license. The lawyer said it was for privacy reasons . . . which makes one think:
1) just how many people have seen Rush's Viagra bottle;
2) why would anyone see Rush's Viagra bottle;
3) how did Rush pick up or pay for a Viagra prescription with someone else's name on it;
4) if you are that worried . . . why not just put your Viagra in an unmarked pill bottle . . . they don't call it the 'Little Blue Pill" for nothing. There are very few pills shaped like a diamond and only one is blue (to my knowledge).

I think this thread is aptly titled b/c I really thought Rush was funny before people started taking him seriously . . . and the 8-figure salary. Admittedly, I used to watch his TV show from time to time . . . and I enjoyed it.

Which bring up another interesting question.

WHO in their right mind would want to SLEEP with him in the first place??!

With all the other crap going on in this world, I fail to see this as news. Ohh, viagra. BFD.

Rush could never have done a drug in his life, and it wouldn't change my opinion of him. Just another sellout cashing in on being controversial, no different than Michael Moore nor even Marilyn Manson.

Big mouths only survive on others' big ears.

No critical thinking FTL. Go spout some more talking points.

If Rush's lawyers were smart they would claim that he was using it to help lower blood pressure, we use it to that effect on some patients in the hospital.....however that still doesnt explain why HIS name isnt on the pill bottle...

Somebody is in big trouble.

You cannot intentionally mislabel prescription medication. If the prescribing physician did it (which I assume) he could lose his DEA license. I'm not sure what the penalty would be if Limbaugh (or his housekeeper) did it. In fact, I'm not sure its illegal at all for a consumer to relabel their own pill bottles . . . as long as they don't use it to get a refill.

I don't see the BFD here?

Otherwise:
1) Why would a doctor in the DR (non-USA territory) give a crap about the DEA (USA agency)?
2) DEA apparently doesn't have anything to do with viagra anyway

"According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, Viagra is not considered a controlled substance because "it's not something you can be addicted to," said DEA Investigator Maria Gilbert.

The Food and Drug Administration oversees regulations concerning non-addictive drugs that are not considered controlled substances, Gilbert said. A telephone call to the FDA was not immediately returned Tuesday."

So, it's apparently an FDA matter.

3) As far as the intentional mis-labeling on the prescrition bottle: "It is generally not illegal under Florida law for a physician to prescribe medication in a third party's name if all parties are aware and the doctor documents it correctly, said Mike Edmondson, a spokesman for the state attorney in Palm Beach County."

I don't really listen to Rush, maybe if I did I would understand the over-hype?

Limbaugh joked about the search on his radio show Tuesday, saying Customs officials didn't believe him when he said he got the pills at the Clinton Library and he was told they were blue M&Ms. He later added, chuckling: "I had a great time in the Dominican Republic. Wish I could tell you about it."

It is generally not illegal under Florida law for a physician to prescribe medication in a third party's name if all parties are aware and the doctor documents it correctly, said Mike Edmondson, a spokesman for the state attorney in Palm Beach County. He would not discuss specifics in the Limbaugh case Tuesday.

The sheriff's office was continuing its investigation and would soon turn the case over to prosecutors, Edmondson said. The alleged violation could be a second-degree misdemeanor if Limbaugh's doctor doesn't confirm the prescription.

This latest case may simply be dismissed if prosecutors can confirm with Limbaugh's doctor that the prescription was indeed for Limbaugh, said Kendall Coffey, a former U.S. attorney in Florida.

He's still a big fat idiot!

Rush, O'Rielly, Coulter, Moore, Franken, are entertainers first and foremost. Unforunately, the same could be said about the Bush Administration, if you had a really morbid sense of humor 🙁

A better comparison would be violent crime rate.

Point #1 & #2: To protect rush from some pharmacy tech wanting to sell that info. "Hey National Enquirer, rush takes viagra how much you want for proof"?

point #3: i pickup up meds from the pharmacy for my mom and mother and father in law, and my wifes friend all the time and i mean once a week from different pharmacys. as long as i know the name of the person i am picking up the drug for they dont care and never have been asked for an ID. some of the drugs are narcotics for pain management.

point #4: having prescriptiong drugs in a unmarked bottle or container or baggie is not very smart.

(CBS4 News) WEST PALM BEACH Sources have confirmed to CBS4 News that conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been detained at Palm Beach International Airport for the possible possession of illegal prescription drugs Monday evening.

Limbaugh was returning on a flight from the Dominican Republic when officials found the drugs, among them Viagra.

Limbaugh entered a plea deal back in April in a previous case where his charge of fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions was dropped under the condition he continue undergoing treatment for addiction.

Limbaugh had admitted to being addicted to pain killers on his radio program and had entered a rehabilitation program prior to that arrest.

Typo in there..."conservative talk show host" should read "comedian".

It's good to know that conservatives who skirt the law and get away with it continue to skirt the law and get away with while preaching to others to follow the law.

Rush should be on some sedatives, esp. after this tirade against a listener

what did he do that was illegal and how was he skiritng the law and what crime was he trying to get away with?

This is thread #2 where you tried to slam somebody and you got egg on your face, how does it taste?
