Cream Cheese bacon Cresents

My wife made these and I am hooked.

1 pack of PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
10 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled)add bacon to likening more or less)
Shredded cheese of preference
2 cans (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix cream cheese spread, shredded cheese and bacon in small bowl until well blended.
Seperate each can of dough into its triangleshape and lay on baking sheet. Spread each dough triangle with 1 generous tsp. cream cheese mixture, then top with shredded cheese(I use Colby and Montery Jack). Roll up, starting at shortest side of triangle and rolling to opposite point. Place, point sides down, on ungreased baking sheet.
BAKE 12 to 15 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm.

I like mine:
Slice of Sara Lee whole wheat bread: 70 calories
Tablespoon of Hunt's Tomato Paste w/ Basil, Garlic and Oregano - 25
Slice of Sargento mozzarella: 60
Optional: a few slices of Hormel turkey pepperoni, or small pieces of grilled chicken breast: 40-80 calories

Cook in toaster oven till cheese is bubbly

Place on foil so the bottom doesn't burn

This would taste better using fresh ingredients instead of the tomato paste and packaged mozzarella. But its a pretty classic italian recipe (baguette, tomatoes, basil, mozzarella)

my wife makes a similar thing, we call it taco ring. same basic thing but change bacon to hamburger, and leave out the cream cheese

OH add a drizzle of good extra virgin olive oil as well or a good balsamic
